FOX News: Fatalities feared, 3 hunted after shooting at San Bernardino, Calif., center for disabled
DEVELOPING: Multiple people were reportedly killed Wednesday at a San Bernardino, Calif., social services facility where employees were hosting a Christmas party, and police were hunting three suspects who appear to have escaped.
As many as 30 hostages were seen coming out of the building where the event occurred minutes after the first call went in to police around 11 a.m. local time. Witnesses said three men in masks and body armor stormed the crowded building and opened fire with rifles, with one shooting people in a conference room where a Christmas party was taking place, according to the Los Angeles Times. Local Fox affiliate KTTV initially reported that at least 12 fatalities may have occurred inside the building, which was surrounded by authorities, just before noon local time. The FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were responding to the scene, some 60 miles east of Los Angeles.

Something needs to be done but it will not come from the top no matter how elected officials feel about it. They will not do or say anything to imperil their source of money. Any solution has to come from the people even if the government claims actions by the people to limit guns and killings such as this are contrary to the Constitution. Health and safety and the pursuit of happiness are overriding rights.
ReplyDeleteAmericans have pretty much accepted the pat downs and various requirements before boarding a plane. They should be just as accepting to all various other places to be established as no guns allowed facilities. Schools, hospitals private facilities like shopping centers should screen for guns before allowing someone to enter. Maybe there hasn't been enough carnage to inspire such actions, at least not yet, but it's coming. What is needed is a start. Start with the schools.

ReplyDeleteGun's free zone's and mental illness is the key. There is no question that this mass shooting are been engineer. Just look at the fact's.and tell me that you don't see a pattern.
Only 3% of the american people will understand what is going on.
The founding Fathers put in place the Constitution and the bill of rights for a reason . think of a firewall .
DeleteThe first amendment and the second amendment are one and two because they knew that over time government will get bigger and bigger and eventually will become corrupt. And will look at their citizens as enemy . the first amendment guarantee your freedom.
The second amendment is to protect the first amendment.
America have a liveral progressive and totalitarian side that want to be able to run everybody's life.
Political correctness kind of crapp. But the Constitution is in the way.
The government can't have a monopoly of fire power if you have the second amendment right?.
God bless America and the founding Fathers .
Bob. Most of these shootings take place in "gun free zones". What is there to make a criminal obey a sign that says no guns allowed? Having screeners means they kill the screener first and then move on.
ReplyDeleteGuns, many of which are unregistered, are prolific in the US, and I guarantee confiscation would lead to civil war.
If you want gun free zones, start with something unimportant like congress not my daughters school.
Look at violent crime rates in the UK versus the US. They are much higher because you can have a group of criminals enter the house of an elderly person with no fear the resident would be able to defend themselves adequetly.
Uk homicide and violent crime rate 8s way lower than u.s cops dont even have the need to carry firearms on routine patrols
DeleteFrance should have put up a "Gun Free Zone" sign on their border during World War II.

ReplyDeleteBend it anyway but its not, when l get a more tech savy pal over l try to post statistics.
ReplyDeleteI love america and its people but l just cant understand the pro gun lobby.
Did any of the victims today return fire or kill the attackers
It seems that in theory having more oeople armed us a deterent but in practice they actually arent carrying them or freeze up or are killed before they knrw what hit them. F4om what l can see from u.s recent masacres none were prevented nor were the attackers killed by private citizens.

ReplyDeleteI think you missed something in my post. Simply declaring a no gun zone obviously isn't the answer hence my suggestion to incorporate the same checking processes used in airports. It will come to that one day unfortunately and I think the schools should be first.
Correct bob a change in attitude and acceptance of firearms and carnage must start with the next generation.
