Weeks After Hillary Clinton Claimed That Donald Trump Was Being Used As A Recruitment Tool For Terrorists, The First Video Now Shows Up

New York Times: Qaeda Affiliate Uses Video of Donald Trump for Recruiting

Al Qaeda’s branch in Somalia released a recruitment video on Friday that criticized racism and anti-Muslim sentiment in the United States and contained footage of the Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump announcing his proposal to bar Muslims from entering the country.

The video, released by the militant group Shabab, appeared to be the first time that Mr. Trump was featured in jihadist recruitment material. During a Democratic presidential debate last month, Hillary Clinton said that Mr. Trump had been used in a recruitment video for the Islamic State, a claim that was later debunked.

Al Qaeda and the Islamic State are rival jihadist groups that compete for recruits and money among radicalized Muslims.

WNU Editor: I have seen parts of the video (it is almost an hour long), and Trump is used for a few seconds before the halfway mark. He has just as much air-time as President Obama in this video .... but there is no claim in the media that President Obama is being used as a recruitment tool for radical Islam. This video is in English, and it is targeting American blacks to convert and to go to Africa. The press is focusing on the Donald Trump angle and to lend support to Hillary Clinton's claims that Donald Trump is a recruiter for terror groups .... but if this is what they got .... I am not impressed. SITE Intelligence has this video, and the link is here (membership only).

I just went to politifact and read their reading of Obama's "Contained" comment.

They said it was totally true.

So those ISIS affiliates in Afghanistan and the Mahgreb must be something else. ISIS looks to be on the ropes in Syria and Iraq, but IMHO it is due to the added and very much increased pressure brought to bear by Russia. If Russia had not provided the intel and air power with Iran & Hezbollah providing troops in Syria, ISIS would very much not be contained but on the march in Syria.

We have a lying ass for an American President.

    P.S.
As it has been pointed out by Jay and other the battle in syria see-saws back and forth. ISIS is getting a hard time now, but who knows.

Dropping leaflets and then bombing oil tankers is not going to get it done as fast as the Russian bombing. Obama was shamed into bombing the oil facilities and oil tankers.

Could you see Maximum Leader Obama bombing Ploesti?

HELL NO! His EPA would still be doing the environmental impact study.

Obama is a bad joke on the American people and on the world.

  2. true. it seems as if the obama administration has purposely sought out to weaken the american war machine and ruin the many allied friendships it has gained through many years of war and many lives lost. the precise actions taken to undermine and re-write the constitution coupled with obama's addiction to executive power (gaining momentum since woodrow wilson) has brought us here to a state of perpetual wtf.

obama's memoir: created a nuclear arms race in the worlds most volatile region, attempted to erase his own countries constitutional freedoms through hundreds of executive actions/memorandums and self appointed micro-managing govt agencies and 'czars', refused to stand against evil or even label it as such despite a great multitude of jihadi terror acts worldwide, guilty of gunrunning in multiple countries at the expense of human lives for his own re-election efforts, using the IRS as a defunding weapon against political opponents, purposely leaking classified information to ruin allied tactical advantage in combating terror, using the media to force feed and misinform the public (damn that list could keep going)......and all of this, of course, from behind his gopro attached selfie stick + shit eating grin.

  3. You guys might want to head over to Col.Pat Lang's site, now that it has a search function and google the writings, comments and articles on "The Borg".

When a Corporation is foundering, there are three main ways to effect change.

1). Change the CEO, COO and CFO. 99% of the time this is a purely cosmetic change, which results in a quick boost of share prices, ( for reasons you will see below),

2). Bring in a "Disruptor". Disrupters create change by tearing down all the old procedures and policies, ( even if they work well), and by firing people and gutting departments. A key belief of "disrupters" is that so called "natural systems", those created from scratch, that evolve out of chaos and nothingness, are peak forms of efficiency, even if the people creating those systems, have no idea or experience of the business. 99% of the time, Disruptors fail, but they do boost the stock prices short term by selling off key divisions, subcontracting out, slashing the workforce and cutting pensions. The perfect example of Disruptors in Politics is the Bremer/Junior Republican administration in Iraq.

    3) Carefull, methodical analytical analysis and a review of all policies, procedures, and Departments starting with the largest losses and inefficiencies, followed by the embedding of a culture of constant emprovement. This is often very difficult to achieve, predominantly because the past policies and procedures are the product of existing Senior and Middle Management, and Junior Management has been propagandized to believe in those same policies and procedures. Resistance to change is embedded, and often requires a major "house cleaning". As the actual day to day, quarter to quarter business is conducted by the Senior and Middle Management, until they are on-board and have effected change, nothing much changes.

So, when Obama was elected, which kind of "change" did he enact?

    2. RRH,

Trump is selling an election image as a Disruptor, and in some regards he is, ( stealing an extremist base the RNC spent millions creating),

But in his business dealings, he's the atypical M&A Crony Capitalist exploiting every perk and loophole of the US Corporate culture while delegating the actual running of the business to proven Managers.

While Trump will change the image of the US at home and abroad, he won't change much of the substance.

  4. I just say the movie "The Big Short" Jay. Brought back a lot of bad memories. I was lucky that the 2008 crash did not hurt me .... but I knew a lot of people who were. Nothing has changed .... and so much for Hope and Change.

    1. WNU Editor,

while Obama had a mandate for change, real change, his choice of Transition team, his Cabinet and Advisors, his retaining of Bush Staffers, made it pretty clear that other than some social policies, and aspects of War fatigue, he was not really going to effect significant change.

      Trudeau on the other hand,........

  5. Trudeau wants to transform this nation Jay .... with powers centralized in Ottawa .... just like what his dad wanted. I mentioned previously on what they want to do with electoral reform .... but this is just the tip of the iceberg. I do not know what is the sentiment in BC, but in Quebec it is quickly becoming very hostile .... and they are the ones who gave him his majority. French Quebecers are now feeling threatened .... and when they feel threaten that is when the worst of Quebec nationalism rears its head. But Quebec is not alone. In Ontario .... case in point .... many on fixed incomes cannot afford their sky-high electricity bills .... and the prospect of paying more with a carbon tax .... my own girl friend is in shock with what she is paying now.

But I feel for those who want to start a business. The provincial tax and regulatory system here is so onerous .... it utterly makes no sense now to start a business (in both Quebec and Ontario). And what they now want to do and implement in Ottawa ... doubly so.

Damn .... I thought that I would never say this .... but doing business in Russia (even with all of their corruption) is easier than in Quebec or Ontario.

    1. WNU Editor,

As the robocalls and other scandals have shown, Canada needs electoral reform. Will the Lib's pull it off, maybe, maybe not.

The Carbon Tax in BC has been the only effective act the Lib's brought in, ( BC Libs are not affiliated with the Liberal Party of Canada and are doctrinally ReformCons)

And BC Hydro has been bankrupted by Crony RoR Projects that arn't in the least bit "green" and will result in skyrocketing hydro bills over the next few years. The LNG Projects are of course, mother means of transferring Public assets to Corporations.

People bitching about energy costs, I have little time for. Net Zero is not that expensive or difficult, but most people would rather have granite counter tops and 60 gpm showers.

  7. What I like about you Jay are your views on how to get off the grid. My priority this year is to help my GF in Ontario to get off the grid .... or at least put some sanity in her electrical bills. As I had mentioned to you a month or two ago .... I will probably be pestering you for your input on this subject. There is now a huge market in Ontario for this .... people are just being crushed by their bills.

    1. Editor,

Trudeau's Dad was right regarding centralization. Enough with the provincial warlord celebrities like the late King Ralph and Newfie Danny. As for Quebec nationalists, the should tread lightly if the boy has any of his old man in him.

What's needed is a strong, united, progressive Canada with leadership willing to knock down the "me, me, me" gang running things (and over everyone else).

As for energy, clean energy, publicly run, at cost is where we should be headed. I wouldn't, however, have a problem with a program encouraging and assisting people with attaining Jay's "net zero". A tax on the resource and financial sectors would be a great place to find the funds for that. We could roll it in with relief for small businesses.

While we're at it, since so many of them are hollering poor mouth and "going broke", perhaps it's once again time to discuss a new national energy program.

Trump says he wants out of free trade. If he makes Pres, let's hold him to it. Scratch that. Let's hold him to it even if he doesn't.

    2. WNU Editor,

Net Zero starts with "reduce", so LED bulbs, timers, unplugging, Energy Smart appliances, energy efficient water heaters, turning stuff off,....

Then comes "super insulation", R100 attic insulation, R50 walls, R30 windows and doors, in an airtight home, with a heat exchanger air recovery system,

Then comes a new Energy Star heating system sized to the new demands, ( often just a fraction of previous needs), ideally with Texas air conditioning,

Followed by the addition of solar hot water heating, ( no energy demand from spring to fall to heat hot water, and a fraction of the energy demand to heat hot water in winter),

Then a grid tie solar array to roll back the hydro meter.

After that you can add rainwater recovery and grey water systems.

    3. In addition, the Fed's, Provinces, Munincipalities and Utilities all offer subsidy and rebate programs that significantly reduce the costs.

  11. WNU Editor,

The "first step" in the program, is to get an Energy Assesment, ususally for free, from the Utility or a Provincial Energy Star program.

They do a walk through, take measurements, show the home owner little things that can be done, hand out pamphlets on the rebate system,

Then offsite, write an Assesment which will define the levels of rebate for the various levels of work.

Once approved, then the Homeowner just needs to find contractors to do the work, and a trusted Building Inspector to make sure the work is done right.

  12. Thakyou Jay for your input. The GF now has a project to pursue in her free time. She is motivated .... her electrical bill is running over $500/month (heating is included). But this is why this is nuts. My home in Quebec is double the size of her home .... but my Hydro Quebec bill is on average $130 for 2 months (I heat using oil). My heating bill is about $4000/year (and I keep my home super warm because of my 89 year old mother). All funds are in Canadian. My chalet in the Laurentians is also double the size of her home .... I pay about $500 every 2 months for my electrical and heating needs. In short .... my homes are double the size of her home .... but my bill is half. Go figure. But here is a good one. My condo in Moscow is 4100 sq/ft. My electrical AND heating bill runs to about $100 USD/month.

I will update her (our) progress with you in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  13. WNU Editor,

On your and her bills, will be the charges per KWH, it may or may not include the "other" charges and taxes,

Often the easiest thing to do is divide the electrical bill by the total KWH's to come up with a " base" KWH charge than can then allow a comparison between her electric bill and yours,

After that, you get the comparative BTU costs between electric, ( not cheap) oil and natural gas,

    And then, the insulation.

Wood has a R value of 1 per inch, vermiculite, rocksil, Fiberglas and cotton have an R value of 4 per inch, most spray foams and styrofoams come in at R 3 to R 3.6 per inch, and High Density foam boards come in at R 5 per inch.

Then it starts to get complicated. Foams lose most heat through conduction, fill insulations lose most heat through convection, and then there is radiant heat.

After that it gets really complicated.

Direct comparison's of costs can only be made if the insulation values of the structures is the same, along with air tightness.
