Up to 1,000 British troops could be sent into Libya to shore up the country's fragile military in its fight against ISIS and halt its expansion on the Mediterranean coast.
The Islamic terror group has seized control of strategically important points along the Libyan coast over the last year and its headquarters in the country - Sirte - sits just 200 miles from Europe.
Officials from British and US governments are in talks with the Libyan government about accepting extra help to add to the Italian-led 6,000 forces who are currently train the Libyans, according to reports in The Times.

So it's time that the UK got a backbone and admitted its mistake in allowing the US use of its bases to destroy the government of Syria, which started this mess.
