RT: Putin & Erdogan may meet in person for first time since crisis over downed Russian jet
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayip Erdogan, discussed the possibility of meeting in person during a phone conversation, the Kremlin said. The meeting would be their first since Moscow-Ankara relations soured after the downing of a Russian jet over Syria.
“The Russian and Turkish presidents agreed to explore the possibility of having personal meeting…” the Kremlin said in a statement. The possibility of a face to face meeting taking place has also been confirmed by Erdogan’s press service.
Vladimir Putin said that the message he had received from Turkey’s President earlier created the conditions “to turn the crisis page in bilateral relations” between the two countries, the Kremlin said.

Turkey now wanna kiss Mr Putin butt
ReplyDeleteMr. Putin is the most powerful man in the world and he commands the world's most powerful military force. All nations including America need to act accordingly. While I don't really like vulgar terms like "kiss Mr. Putin's butt", acknowledging Russia's superior position means not engaging in activities that quite obviously will anger him and trying to find ways we might be able to help him.
ReplyDeleteSuch things aren't hard. Humans have been assisting those who are stronger than they are for centuries in order to secure good outcomes for themselves and to try and gain axsistance from those who can do things they cannot.
Good places for the United States to start would be 1.)do all that we can with every ounce of our strength in both word and deed to undrrmine and end economic sanctions against Russia advocating for the Russian position before all world bodies with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we have, 2.)support Russia's position in Ukraine with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we have making it clear an attack on Eastern Ukrainians or Russian separists will be viewed as as an attack on America and we will respond America, and 3.)as long as America exists we will do ANYTHING we can do to ensure Ukraine NEVER joins the EU or NATO and if NATO accepts Ukraine the US withdraws IMMEDIATELY.
While none of these policies will alter Western European positions one iota, such
policies may help America in achieving favorable relations with Russia. Having favorable or at least non hostile relations with the world's most powerful country is of vital importance.
