Last Supply Line To Rebel Controlled East Aleppo Has Been Cut

Al Jazeera: Syrian army 'cuts off last supply route to east Aleppo'

"No way to bring anything into Aleppo", as US says it will formally probe Syrian civilian deaths in coalition strikes.

The Syrian army says that pro-government forces have cut off all supply routes into the eastern, rebel-held part of Aleppo in the country's north.

According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, eastern Aleppo has been under effective siege since July 11, and advances in recent days by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad have strengthened their control of the only route in.

"Today there is no way at all to bring anything into Aleppo," Observatory Director Rami Abdel Rahman said on Wednesday.

  1. Do you throw out the white flag and save what's left of the city and it's population or go down fighting? I'm guessing the latter.

    1. The SAA has been offering to allow the "rebels" to gather their families and weapons and evacuate to Ildib, ( like the hold outs in Homs) for months now.

    2. They are fortunate that Assad Jr. is in charge. Ol' Hafez would have wiped them out and paved a road over them.

  3. Rebels just withdrew from Bani Zaid which is probably a good thing as they were about to be cut off. Not sure if they retreated back into the city or ran the gauntlet to escape the greater encirclement.
