President Barack Obama used the "red phone" system set up to avert nuclear war to issue a stark warning to Vladimir Putin over Russian hacking of the US election.
Mr Obama delivered the message to the Russian president in October stating that further cyber attacks would be considered in the same way as "armed conflict," NBC News reported.
The US president had already confronted Mr Putin personally when they met on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China in September.

No one named at all as a source in the report. Deep in the article it was shown to be an e mail (no reports of confirmation or reply by the russians) not a phone call. White House statement clarifies earlier White House statement in that there was no Russian hacking on "election" day.
They got Amri down Milan (perhaps we was going to the La Scala for "La Boheme"). These assassins are all turning up dead. Pretty hard to question them in that condition. Though earlier efforts with Amri etal while alive seem to have no results either.
James - I don't buy into the conspiracy argument here... keep in mind those people are often for days on the run carrying all their belongings and essentials with them..including passports and other documents. .in haste - or when plans don't go as planned (thank you, Lukasz!) You might forget stuff. ..also. .These are often not highly educated, trained or disciplined soldiers or assassins. .they are canon fodder used by people who indoctrinate them. ..anyways. ..the fun thing was he pulled a .22 haha fucker. .hope they shot him in the face a few times when they finally got him

I don't necessarily go for the conspiracy that much, but they have been getting dead alot lately. Actually with Amri considering the time he had already spent in Italy going back there should have been foreseen, it's an area he's familiar with.
As for conspiracy, there is one, but not in the conventional sense (at least I think so). There seems at the least a loose network of support, information, and indoctrination for radical islamicists in Europe based on mosques they have either taken over or heavily influence. They can give these guys the idea and the motivation and sit back and watch them go to work without being directly involved. They (the mosques) represent a handy place for emigres to first go for support when coming in country with little assets, no jobs, and no language skills, presenting an easy opportunity for screening future prospects.
All in all a fairly nifty set up.
