* Pentagon officials say B-2 bombers carried out air strikes against ISIS camps
* The attacks were focused on camps outside of Sirte, Libya, on Wednesday night
* It has been reported it cost nearly $8.8 million to fly the two planes used in raids
* The deadly airstrikes were conducted with cooperation of Libya's UN-backed Government of National Accord, and no women or children were in the camps

The US bombing strikes on ISIS camps in Libya that killed dozens of fighters cost almost $9million.

US B-2 bombers carried out air strikes against Islamic State camps outside of Sirte, Libya, on Wednesday night, killing dozens of militants, US defense officials said on Thursday.

Two US defense officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the strikes were carried out 28 miles southwest of Sirte against two camps and done in cooperation with Libya's UN-backed Government of National Accord.

WNU Editor: Why send bombers halfway around the world to strike a few camps in Libya? I know that there are no U.S. aircraft carriers in the region .... and I can only assume that nothing was available in Europe to do the strikes that were needed against these targets. If true .... you will have to then wonder if the U.S. military is really stretched.
