President Trump Accuses President Obama Of 'Tapping His Phone During the Campaign'

Reuters: Trump alleges wire tapping by Obama during campaign

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday accused former president Barack Obama of wire tapping him in October during the late stages of the presidential election campaign, but offered no evidence to support the allegation.

"How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!," Trump said in a series of Tweets on his Twitter account early on Saturday.

Obama's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

In one of the Tweets, Trump said the alleged wire tapping took place in his Trump Tower skyscraper in New York, but there was "nothing found".

WNU Editor: It looks like someone told him the news early this morning that got him really pissed-off. He is now the President with complete power over the executive .... I suspect that with his people now being placed in the government .... he had asked for this information and someone obliged. If there ever was a case for an independent investigation on this entire sordid mess .... now is the time. The media is now in over-drive that these are allegations .... no proof has been presented .... and they are right. Mind you .... they have not been that professional in the past few months running the line on Trump-Russian allegations .... reporting allegations and anonymous sources as fact .... but also offering no proof. This is a shit-storm that is going to dominate the news cycle and social media for a while.

As to what is my take on these allegations. Considering the context, accusations that the Russians had compromised then candidate President Trump, the intensity of the Presidential campaign, followed by reports that Trump officials were meeting Russian officials (as outlined by the press in the past two months) .... coupled with the war of words between President Trump and the heads of the intelligence community .... I would not be surprised if someone or someones wanted to learn more.

  1. I would like to point at that the poseur, Obama, is so involved in trying to derail Trump.

It does not seem like he has the time of day for Africa.

He spends more time helping Iran, a white nation, than doing anything to help Africa.

  2. I thought this was already known. In January, Andrew McCarthy had an informative piece in National Review that laid this out. It's a fact that the FBI and the DoJ tried to get a FISA warrant on Trump and failed. They then narrowed the request and got a warrant to wiretap Trump. There was no evidence of wrongdoing but they continued to monitor him. I don't think any of this is in dispute.

  3. Freddy,

Is Obama going to help out Africa?

That is, is he going to help Africa now that he would have to use his own money or money that he raised due to fund raising.

Madonna has done more for African than Obama and she is a loon.

Obama fund raising for Africa might being in 1/2 billion or 10 billion or more. The problem is that would take time away from his political ambitions and detract from his personal wealth building.

Of rse Obama could help Africa like the Clintons helped the Haitians.

If some hard working Haitians are rioting for some reason and I am near a Clinton, I will point the crowd to the Clinons. It will be a deed well done. ;)

  6. "A claim that has no proof or evidence of any kind..." a bit like the claim that Russia hacked the election or that incoming US officials did anything illegal in meeting with Russian officials or speaking with them. So far the only proof of such things that has been supplied are anonymous personnel and US "Intelligence."

In the case of the former, there is no need for anonymity. If they have proof of such things, they will be hailed as heroes and no one will be able to touch them. In the case of the latter, US "Intelligence" has a very poor track record. As such, one would be most unwise to simply take their word for anything at face value without corroborating evidence from other more reliable sources.

It is correct that DJT will need to present evidence of such things. In the case of tapping Mr. Trump's phone whether it proves true or false, no long lasting harm is done to the US or it's interests either way.

In the case of accusations against Russia and the undermining of Trump Administration officials or incoming Trump officials communications with them, long lasting damage may have been done. Three appear to have been careful and very delicate diplomatic efforts underway with the express goal of defusing the tensions surround Cold War II with the ultimate goal of possibly negotiating an end to it. By behaving so recklessly certain individuals may have undermined these efforts thus prolonging and exacerbating Cold War II. Such people are either pathologically insane or they are like little children playing with matches under the bed. The sooner such people are purged from power the better.

    1. "The FBI and five other law enforcement and intelligence agencies have collaborated for months in an investigation into Russian attempts to influence the November election, including whether money from the Kremlin covertly aided President-elect Donald Trump, two people familiar with the matter said.

The agencies involved in the inquiry are the FBI, the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Justice Department, the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and representatives of the director of national intelligence, the sources said.

The BBC reported that the FBI had obtained a warrant on Oct. 15 from the highly secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court allowing investigators access to bank records and other documents about potential payments and money transfers related to Russia. One of McClatchy’s sources confirmed the report.

Susan Hennessey, a former attorney for the National Security Agency who is now a fellow at the Brookings Institution, said she had no knowledge as to whether a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant had been issued in the investigation of Russian influence. However, she said such warrants were issued only if investigators could establish “probable cause” that the target was a foreign power or its agent and that the surveillance was likely to produce foreign intelligence. She said the information in Steele’s dossier couldn’t have met that test.

  7. I'm actually LMFAO over this.

Hair Furour's normal MO for dealing with "Agent Orange" stories is to pick a fight with some other Media "star", issue a Bannon Garbage Pail Kid's EO, or making sly innuendo's that the Jews are trashing their own cemeteries to make him look bad,.......

And off goes the Media, chasing those rabbits.

After The Cheeto's very bad week, where it was all Russia, all the time,

Hair Furour goes off the rails on his staff in the Oval Office, leaving the doors open so all can hear, continues yelling, ranting and fingerpointing all the way across the White House lawn to Marine One, in full view of all the camera's,

Kicks Prebius and Bannon off Air Force One, flies down to the Winter White House, ( another $2 million dollar taxpayer funded vacay),

The goes on Twitter rand after reading Briebart,

That brings the focus back to All Russia, all the time, and the 5 lawful investigations into Hair Furour.

    LMFAO
