Say hello to the KN-17.
When I discussed North Korea’s latest show-stopper of a military parade over the weekend, I didn’t have too much to say about one of the new missiles that Pyongyang decided to show off. The missile in question appeared to be a Scud/Nodong variant and — like the Pukkuksong-2 that we saw tested for the first time in February — was on a tracked transporter erector launcher (TEL). Notably, the missile had fins on its nose cone, suggesting that it was designed to offer a degree of maneuverability in its descent or terminal phase — a capability Pyongyang has not yet demonstrated, but expressed interest in acquiring.

Update: North Korea May Be Testing ‘Carrier Killer’ Missiles (Ryan Pickrell, National Interest)
WNU Editor: I am sceptical of this report .... the North Korean missile program has had its ups and downs .... so developing something as sophisticated as a missile that can target an aircraft carrier is a stretch to me. But are they going to try .... the answer is probably yes.

This missile like our other model blows up on the launch pad too.
It is called quality control.
Can you get that in a slave based economy?
Stop underestimating their capabilities and the help they are getting from outside! This is so reckless.
On one hand we claim its a hermit Kingdom and we know nothing about it, and on the other hand we seem to know exactly what's going on "oh they'll never succeed blablabla"..while yes, they have been succeeding for the last ten years. Smell the coffee. Judging CIAs performance in the past decades, I'd believe we (the west) know little. So I'd be very careful about their capabilities, especially as they seem to be helped by China,Iran and Russia. All three countries despise the West and hate the current world order. All three countries help another country (north Korea) with their nuclear program. It doesn't take a genius to see what's going on here. We (the west - and especially the US and its strongest and most strategic ally in the Asia Pacific - Japan) are heading for a (brief but very very costly) nuclear confrontation with north Korea. And north Korea only has these weapons because of help from China, Russia and Iran. Just one missile goes by and hits the west coast of the US and the world order we all are accustomed to changes over night. Over night. Not in decades. Over night. Let that sink in. No more twitter, Facebook, silicon valley, ...one missile. Think that's impossible? Nice...keep going.
I was with you until you mentioned nuclear exchange
Fazman, why? Please elaborate
