WNU Editor: A 36 year old having this type of influence and trust from the U.S. President .... with no government experience and with no diplomatic experience .... and in this type of position .... I do not feel comfortable. US Secretary of State Tillerson is the person who should be on this trip .... not the President's son-in-law.

As expected .... the knives are out .... 'I worked for Jared Kushner and he is not the right man for his senior White House job' (Elizabeth Spiers , The Independent)

  1. Given the fact that the people with experience have FUBAR the whole thing, it's hard to imagine how Mr. Kushner could screw things any worse than those with "experience" already have.

The person you seem to describe as who should go on this trip would be someone with years of government experience, a trained diplomat with many years experience in the field, and someone considerably older than Mr. Kushner. Very respectfully I see two major problems with this line of thinking. 1.)The type of person you seem to suggest that should be sent on this mission are the people who have screwed things up. As such, it seems reasonable that such people with a track record as poor as theirs is should not be given yet more opportunities to screw things up. It's time to allow someone else a shot at it. Again, it's hard to imagine how Mr. Kushner could do any worse than those have. 2.)The profile you seem to suggest, someone with yeas of government experience, years of diplomatic experience, and am older person is exactly the type of individual who has tried to undermine POTRUS Trump at every turn. It makes little sense to send someone on a mission of this type who is out to harm you and undermine your administration.

  2. Usually when officials travel to active combat zones, such as Iraq and Afghanistan, their destinations and travel dates are left vague to help ensure the enemy doesn't attempt to attack their aircraft or launch any large assaults.
