The Navy officer who apologized to Iran after the crew of the riverine boats he was in command of were captured in January 2016, will be allowed to remain in the service after a separation board in Imperial Beach, California, ruled in his favor on April 18, according to Navy Times.

“What [the Navy] tried to do is use a teeny window of this regulation and drive a truck through it,” Phillip Lowry, Nartker’s Utah-based lawyer, told the newspaper. “And the board saw through it.”

    1. He was correct to apologize for creating a "pain in the ass" for the IRGC, not following international procedures for a military vessel in distress in Foriegn waters with out permission, and violating Iranian Soverignity.

That said, the IRGC should thank him, the US wingers, and the USN, for the gift of propaganda that just keeps on giving.

    2. The "funny thing is", had he followed proper procedures under International Law, and things played out the same way,

The IRGC rather than the USN would have come off as shitheads.

      LMFAO

    3. Jane Fonda went to Hanoi to show support for an anti-colonial, anti-nationalist struggle agains Imperial Globalization.

Funny thing is, the US Administration's knew it was a lost cause in the '50's, under the French, in the '60's and '70's under the US,

and the whole US purpose of the Vietnam War was to "contain China",

Too bad Nixon gave them a UNSC seat, trade and all those US jobs.

  3. Leave this guy alone. He's in his early twenties. It's a failure in leadership, not his fault, for being captured. And have you ever been captured by a hostile nation? I bet you sure as shit haven't, so stop it.

Eventually Everyone Breaks and the military knows this they don't expect people to hold out for very long.
