President Trump: Will Meet With Kim Jong Un Under The Right Circumstances

Bloomberg: Trump Says He’d Meet With Kim Jong Un Under Right Circumstances

* ‘I would be honored to do it’ under the right circumstances
* North Korea has become Trump’s top foreign policy challenge

President Donald Trump said he would meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un amid heightened tensions over his country’s nuclear weapons program if the circumstances were right.

“If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it,” Trump said Monday in an interview with Bloomberg News. “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.”

North Korea has become the most urgent national security threat and foreign policy issue facing Trump as his first 100 days in office passed. Kim’s regime has continued development of its nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile program in defiance of international condemnation and sanctions. Kim has never met with a foreign leader since taking charge after his father’s death in 2011 and hasn’t left his isolated country.

  1. Trump is just confusing the situation with his constant barrage of mixed messages, put kim on notice and tell him outright of the consequences if it hasbeen confirmed that he has developed a icbm, or shut up and accept him as a member of the big boy club.
    Kims doing a tough job,kims a smart cookie,wth?

    2. Thats a ludicrous worst case scenario, why even currently factor nukes into the equation when every second conventional missile explodes.
I prefer the report by the ex head of jap intel that norks logistic chain will collapse and every scenario has then running out of fuel, water, or ammo 7 to 30 days max.
Report also said big chance many norks would simply defect once across dmz when they realized the bullshit theyve been fed and see ipads, hyundais and food carts on every street corner.
Bloody short war with ten thousand coalition dead and norks running out of steam inside of 2 weeks.

    3. LMFAO,

Remonds me of the "flowers and parades" of 2003, and here it is, 14 years later.

Guess you never heard the term, "hope for the best, plan for the worst".
