My girl friend's daughter is in Barcelona for a dance competition (part of a Canadian dance troupe). She saw today's terror attack unfold today (but from a distance). She and her group are OK. The GF is relieved but stressed right now (she is in Ontario). I have been on the phone/skype for the past few hours. The excitement is dying down now, and I should be back to blogging in the next hour or two. Our prayers are for those who lost loved ones today .... and for the injured.
Update #1: Her trip to Barcelona was my gift to her for excelling in school, and being accepted by Queen's University this September.
Update #2: The GF's daughter is in the middle (see below picture). The picture was taken about an hour before the terror attack.

That's a huge stressing time and it will also take time for forgetting it.
ReplyDeletePrayers for the victims and their familes and friends.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear all are safe. A shame they had to see that.
ReplyDeleteGood news on a sad day for everyone.
ReplyDeleteSo glad she's safe along with her friends! Prayers to those lost & injured...
ReplyDeleteI first began reading this site when my youngest son first deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. I've been so grateful for it ever since. Nothing like having a kid (or step-kid) overseas when the SHTF!
"Ma Fille Adoree". That's French language.
ReplyDeleteAnd With a "QWERTY" keyboard. Barcelona looks better today.
