CNN: Even Republicans don't like Congress anymore
Washington (CNN)It's no secret that Congress isn't exactly the most popular institution in American government. But now it's reaching new lows.
Congress sank to a 10% approval rating in a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday, with roughly five in six Americans saying they disapprove of the country's legislative body. This compares to an 18% approval rating in March.
And if you're searching for the main reason behind the drop, look no further than Republican voters.

WNU Editor: I think that 10% poll number is too high .... I would put it around 5% (due to statistical error). But seriously now .... what strikes me about this 10% is that in the past the US Congress would be horrified with such a number, and would move heaven and earth to boost it up. But this Congress is showing no fear. No concern that that they are polling so low. None. Zero. Zippo. So the big question is .... why are they not afraid? What do they know that we do not?
it comes down to this, people may hate the congress as a whole but they love their representative
ReplyDeleteThe "establishment" GOP is no better than the Dems. The establishments of both parties populate DC. Its a very elite club. One that Trump was NOT invited to. The same club that he is threatening to destroy. People outside deep blue urban centers don't get that other people hate the elitist groupthink that dominates that culture. Dems most strongly represent that culture. Pushed in front by the MSM. And the MSM is about as popular as congress.
ReplyDeleteI could agree that the Republican brand is no better than the Democrat brand, but this happened.

Congressmen are the most stupid persons in the Universe. In 2018, all these people will disappear because American are more than fed-up of the swamp.
ReplyDeletePolitical analyst didn't realize that the people didn't vote for Trump because he was "attractive" but because they was fed-up with both aisles. This will happen again with the representative and the senator...and they will be surprised. That's exactly what happens in France and in Great Britain.
I did not vote, but I was fed up. As I sit now bluntly Putting it iam getting fucked either way. They did not even buy me a drink.
