What Is The Russian Consulate Burning In San Francisco?

WNU Editor: When a consulate/embassy is closed .... documents are put in container/crate/box/etc. .... and it is sealed and treated as a diplomatic pouch. So why should the Russian consulate in San Francisco feel compelled to burn something (if it is documents/records/etc.). The AP story is here .... 1. Stuff you don't need but dont want to leave behind either. Burning is most reliable/cheapest option. There are military grade shredders but you have to go to them - they are usually big machines.

  2. Darn, I was hoping they would shred the documents and put them in the garbage.

That way we could hire some Iranian radicals to piece them back together again!

  3. Is the EPA or California EPA going to fine them for air pollution? In an urban area like the west coast if conditions lead to an inversion layer it is illegal to burn.

Not saying that the consulate should be fined, just making an observation.

  4. Computers, relatively cheap food, work demands and unsafe streets.

San Francisco has unsafe parks, when there are no criminals in the parks. Used Needles!
