Taliban fighters practice in the snow with US-made weapons that very likely were seized from Afghan security forces. Footage from the group's Abu Bakr Siddique Camp. pic.twitter.com/BRY31uMEVB— Long War Journal (@LongWarJournal) February 2, 2018
The #Taliban are using captured US-supplied Afghan National Police Ford Ranger pickup trucks in training. Can count at least 8 together in one scene. From the group's video of the Abu Bakr Siddique Camp. pic.twitter.com/6EzYimorJj— Long War Journal (@LongWarJournal) February 2, 2018
WNU Editor: In the above video the Taliban have 8 pick-up trucks, uniforms, helmets, weapons .... and there are a lot of men training to be fighters. This is not a promising sign on where the Afghan war is heading.
Rome's enemies had Roman weapons too.
ReplyDeleteThe question is who is better supplied & better led.
Thinking is that Rome lost not so much that the barbarians were awesome but that the Romans had too many civil wars.
The Battle of Adrianople was lost by the Romans and was caused by a civil war, if you can read between the lines.
I will leave this advice to the Pashtuns since they are basically the Taliban.
ReplyDeleteTake note that the Tocharians are no longer around (Yeah, the dudes from the Tarim Basin just to the east).
Now, the Pashtuns can be pig headed ______ _______ and gum up the works, but in the end there won't be an 'Iranian family' language being spoken east of Iran, if they keep up their infantile geriatrics. The U.S. will pull out and then the Pashtuns will truly be ______ 6 ways to Sunday and the Americans will have done nothing to make it come about except to create a vacuum which nature abhors.
I watched Rambo 3 and the Taliban look nothing like these guys.
