Israeli snipers have killed 37 Palestinians and wounded hundreds more as 35,000 protesters rallied against the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem overseen by Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Jared Kushner and daughter Ivanka.
A 14-year-old was among 37 killed along the Gaza border on what is already the deadliest single day in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since a 2014 war between the Jewish state and Gaza's Islamist rulers Hamas.
At least 1,300 more have been injured with about 450 of them by live bullets, according to Gaza officials as the Palestinian government accused Israel of committing a 'terrible massacre' and Amnesty International called the bloodshed an 'abhorrent violation' of human rights.

The US might as well move its capitol to Israel since the 535 members of congress are bought and paid for puppets who do what ever the Israel lobby asks. That is, if they want to get re-elected.
ReplyDeleteHaifa as the new Washington? Tel Aviv maybe?
Talk about new world order is new world chaos
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteSuch comments are ridiculous and have no place in a serious conversation about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and/or Israeli and American relations. Statements such as the one you made are a bit like saying the earth is flat or the earth is the center of the universe.
By the choice of the United States to finally recognize Israel's Capitol and to move our embassy to Jerusalem there is nothing in this move on the part of the United States that would inhibit the Palestinians from negotiating in good faith and having east Jerusalem as their Capitol. I think the actions of the Palestinians in this matter and others clearly show who and what we are dealing with.
When was the last time that both sides actually sat down to discuss a possible treaty for a two-state solution?
ReplyDeleteI think the road map to peace was put forth by the Bush Administration in the early 2000s putting in writing what seems to have already been the de facto position of America to support a two state solution. the problem has always been and continues to be the Palestinians simply aren't expressing much interest in negotiating in good faith.
ReplyDeleteNegotiating in good faith has never been in Israeli government and lobby of power since the assassination of prime minister Rabin.
ReplyDeleteThey want to use the power they have today, including the sins and regret of the West, to take all they can.
What we then have in the comments: Israel to blame. No. Palestinians to blame...and so on for how many more years? both sides will have to agree to something. To do this: both sides need to sit down. Keep them in a place till such time as they reach some sort of accord and then let them go for it. The UN or no nation can impose upon them but they as outsiders might monitor things. A problem: if there is to be a state for Palestinians, then Hamas and West Bank will have to reach an accord between them as a unit to sit down with Israel. Thus far, they seem consistently at odds with each other, making a possible state impossible
ReplyDeleteThe "sins and regret" of the "west" Are used by the Palestinians to manipulate them into trying to restrain and undermine Israel. The assassination of Rabin was a huge opportunity they squandered. It has been said they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that Hamas and the West Bank will need to reach an accord between themselves. Neither side seems to have any desire for honest negotiate either between themselves or Israel
