Daily Mail: REVEALED: The 44 questions Robert Mueller has handed to Trump's lawyers as part of Russia-inspired obstruction of justice investigation – as president rails against 'disgraceful' probe of 'made up, phony crime'

* Mueller recently sent the list of nearly four dozen questions to Trump's lawyers
* List is a result of negotiations over topics for a potential interview with Trump
* Asks about campaign 'links' with Russia, and Trump's actions after election
* Focuses heavily on firing of Comey and Mike Flynn, and recusal of Jeff Sessions
* Hints that a major focus of the probe has become potential obstruction charges
* Reveals FBI suspects Paul Manafort of 'outreach' to Russia for campaign help
* Trump has not formally agreed to be interviewed by investigators
* But he lashed out Tuesday at 'disgraceful' investigation

The questions that Special Counsel Robert Mueller handed to Donald Trump's lawyers have been leaked, and the president is furious.

Mueller recently sent the list of nearly four dozen questions to Trump's attorneys amid ongoing negotiations about what topics he might address if he agreed to meet with investigators. The New York Times first published the list.

The questions are wide-ranging and open-ended, and suggest a major interest in potential obstruction charges – a concept that the president was quick to mock on Tuesday.

Trump tweeted his fury at the leak on Tuesday morning, defending himself against what he sees as politically motivated, manufactured claims that motivated Mueller's appointment in the first place.

If these 44 questions are accurate .... the Mueller Commission is gathering evidence to make an obstruction of justice charge against the President.

  1. What Mueller is doing is un-Constitutional. Under the Constitution, only Congress has the right to investigate, and if it has the votes, impeach the president for "high crimes and misdemeanors" and remove him from office. What Mueller is attempting amounts to an illegal coup and if allowed to continue, will severely damage Constitutional government in the United States.

  2. The president can’t be convicted of obstruction of justice The questions are very open ended. Sounds more like a perjury trap.

  3. Mueller, car and russ, is hardly a newbie at this game and for you to suggest that what he is doing is unconstitutional is naive at best. If unconstitutional, then the Supreme Court will decide

  4. This thing go to SCOTUS? Hardly. A beat cop would have authority to shut down this so-called investigation IF the entire Fed Agency sphere weren't a giant banana republic.

Corrupt beyond belief. This investigation, the materials they used to start the sham and the legion double standards/selective application of law.

Its gonna boomerang hard on the perps.

  5. Surprise, surprise, surprise. The White House leaked it.

I really thought Trump would make it until next year and then be shown the door, but I'm starting to think he may not make it till fall. I guess the Republicans have a big decision to make; is it better he go sooner or later? They look to be on track to loose the mid-terms regardless.

  6. "Surprise, surprise, surprise. The White House leaked it." This doesn't seem likely. There's no upside benefit along with huge downside risk in doing such a thing.

This whole thing looks bad on the Mueller Commisson. As such, they must obfuscate and szy the White House leaked it.

Mueller has the full resources of the government behind him. He is sort of like a big dumb elephant. Essentially he's like a big strong animal but is dimwitted. He is not dumb per say but having had absolute power for many years to have his way with whomever he's wanted to for many decades with little accountability has rendered him careless. In this particular case, the power and resources he has been given are even more absolute which will only enhance his carelessness and stupidity.

In contrast DJT is has guile beyond anything Mueller and his team has ever faced. Does guile beat brawn? Mueller may yet get his man. If so, there will be adverse consequenses for what is essentially a coup against a duly elected President.

In this case, I predict guile is going to beat brawn. Not only this but not only will Trump not be "shown the door" but he will not leave until the end of his second term. As for the Republicans losing the mid terms, anything can happen but I think the Demcratss are deluding themselves. Those who allow ideology to govern their thought processes tend to be easily mislead.
