Business Insider: China's J-20 stealth jet has taken to the skies — but India says its fighters can spot it easily
* China recently made history as the first country besides the US to field stealth aircraft with its J-20 fighter.
* But the Indian Defence Research Wing says its Russian-made Su-30MKI fighter jets can spot the supposedly-stealth J-20s.
* Unlike the US's F-22 and F-35 stealth jets, the J-20 doesn't have all aspect stealth.
China recently made history as the first country besides the US to field stealth aircraft with its J-20 fighter, but reports from its regional rival, India, indicate that it may want to go back to the drawing board.
The Indian Defence Research Wing says its Russian-made Su-30MKI fighter jets can spot the supposedly-stealth J-20s, and has already observed them in flight.
Indian Air Force Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa said the "Su-30 radar is good enough and can pick it (J-20) up from many kilometers away," according to Indian news website Zee News.

WNU Editor: I guess the J-20 is not as "stealthy" as the Chinese like to boast it is.
Of course not. When will we learn the the Chinese love to boast and exaggerate? Just look at how they build their skylines. Compensate much? Lol
ReplyDeleteThe Chinese bubble will start to burst this decade still and next decade will get sad
Chinese are not going anywhere . They will run the world alongside Russia as times goes on
DeleteAntitroll,
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced that China and Russia are going to "run the world." They have their own issues they have to work out.
At one time, I did believe what you stated with absolute certainty. Now not so much. Furthermore, while you seem to believe such an outcome is desirable, I do not believe it is, merely that it may be inevitable and there may be nothing we can do that can change it.
If someone believed that Russia and China are the most powerful forces on earth and will be dominating the world and this someone were the leader of a country like say the United States, then this someone would work to position our country to function and prosper in a world that is dominated by Russia with the knowledge that this will be for the case for the foreseeable future. From this conclusion about geo political realities, policies and procedures would be brought forth. In so doing, such a person is not an agent of another country. The person is seeking constructive relations with the world's most powerful countries in an attempt to achieve the best outcome possible for America and its citizens. I would say such a person is a patriot.
I do agree with you that they "are not going anywhere." As to whether or not they will "run the world," it is to early to say. Under president Trump the US has made strides in turning its situation around. Whether or not this will continue or can he and his team reverse the decline is not known at this time. We clearly are "screwed" if we don't get better leadership in a number of areas and very quickly. Already a promising diplomatic effort put together by team Trump with regards to Russia has been destroyed by petty losers who can't/won't come to grips with the fact that they lost a superior candidate who ran a superior campaign with a superior message. The ramifications of this are profound.
I would suggest the keys to dealing with Russia and China, especially Russia, is going to be to respect them and treat them as the equals that they are. This does not mean we are going to be allies or that we will even like them. There clearly will be disputes but with a change in approach we will be more likely to be successful.
The editor writes: "I guess the J-20 is not as 'stealthy' as the Chinese like to boast that it is." Perhaps it is. Keep in mind this plane was designed with the US in mind, not with India or Russia in mind. As such, I consider it highly likely and even probable that the US military would be unable to detect it. Keep in mind India and their Russian built Su-30MK1 fighter likely have technologies that the US military lacks.
Anon,
You may well be correct. It may well be possible that whoever will "run the world" as antitroll puts it may be someone or a country we have not even heard of yet or it may even be the United States. Under DJT progress has been made. Ironically Trump has proven to be Putin's worst nightmare. Maybe the Mueller investigation will derail him and serve as a lifeline for Putin.
