Reuters: U.S. Navy expects 'uncertainty' in Gulf after Iran deal withdrawal
ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT (Reuters) - The United States Navy is closely watching Iranian behavior in the Gulf and expects a “period of uncertainty” and increased level of alertness after President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from an international nuclear deal with Iran, the U.S. Navy chief said on Monday.
Trump said last week that the United States was withdrawing from a 2015 deal negotiated by the Obama administration.
The withdrawal has upset Washington’s European allies, cast uncertainty over global oil supplies and raised the risk of conflict in the Middle East.

A thought occurred to me reading this post; wow, what advantage to cause oil prices to go higher thus providing cause for the US industry to increase profits as Fracking becomes possible as prices rise. Great Global Strategy being played out here - Love It!!

ReplyDeleteOil prices were rising before the pullout from the JPOCA, it's the economy humming along world wide and China is the largest oil importer on earth.
ReplyDeleteSince the JPOCA went into effect, by that I mean Iran got it's tens of Billions back, she has waged war from the Med to the Red Sea pulling in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Lebanon into her machinations for regional supremacy. Ending it can only be a good thing.
