Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia. They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 18, 2018
The Guardian: Summit critics have Trump derangement syndrome – says Trump
US president hits out at comments about his relationship with Putin
Donald Trump has accused critics of “Trump derangement syndrome” as the fallout from his summit with Vladimir Putin showed no sign of abating.
The US president might be regretting his partial climbdown on his drawing a moral equivalence between the Kremlin and American intelligence and law enforcement agencies, which triggered accusations of treason.
“Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday. “They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!”

gonna be almost as good a election night again when Republicans crush the Democrats in the midterms I can't wait to see their faces and hear their excuses
ReplyDeleteChase, you and me both. I swear, I'm on the verge of getting cancer just from reading their nonsense.
ReplyDelete"Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia. They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!"
ReplyDeleteBut he does seem to be intent on having a war with somebody. That includes China, North Korea, Iran and any takers who are currently members of NATO. But certainly not Israel, Saudi Arabia or Russia.
"He's a supreme narcissist." It might be helpful to actually look up actual definitions rather than to simply repeat talking points. After all their are fifteen signs of this disorder. POTUS doesn't meet any of them. Specifically subjecting oneself to continuous abuse and sacrificing one's own interest in order to serve others as he is doing cannot fit the definition. Furthermore he tends to understate his own accomplishments. This is the opposite of what such people do.
ReplyDelete"Good job rubes." At least someone knows how to vote their interests instead of blindly following party lines. The "rubes" understood that the status quo was failing them. To have continued with it would have been dangerous even suicidal. As such, taking a chance on the unknown was a no brainer. So far the results have been impressive. A growing economy, major progress on North Korea, and a fruitful move forward with regards to relations with Russia are amazing achievements and much of it has been done in the face of unrelenting and unreasonable opposition.
Lets see here. The US hasn't won a war since WW2. Its not going to be a good idea to pick fights with countries like Russia for no good reason. As an adult, POTUS understands such things. Kudos to his courage in thus far choosing the right path in the face of such unreasonable opposition.
Bob,
ReplyDeleteWho is he trying to have a war with? He hasn't threatened war with China. The trade agreements need to renegotiated. He has expressed concern at this but threatening war, no. In contrast, China seems to be rather bellicose of late. I point out elsewhere why China would probably win a conventional war against America. If I am aware of this, I am sure Chinese leaders and POTUS are as well.
North Korea? As I recall they threatened to nuke us. Essentially they threatened us with genocide. POTUS dis respond as any prudent leader would be expected to do. Currently tensions have been reduced and we seem headed on the right track to resolving this, certainly a vast improvement over where we were. War is hardly being threatened right now.
Iran? the crap sandwich of the nuclear deal needs to be renegotiated in such a manner that properly addresses our legitimate concerns. As long as Iran continues to threaten genocide against the American people its going to be prudent that we properly prepare for this. Have we threatened to invade them, no. I suspect should they actually make good on their continuous and unrelenting murderous threats against us I am sure we have plans in place to respond.
"members of NATO?" The current arrangement is unequitable and impossible for America to maintain. By their actions they indicate they don't view Russia as a threat but they do seem to like the largess they get from America regarding NATO. The arrangement clearly needs to be renegotiated. POTUS has pointed this out. Has war been threatened? No.
Last I checked Israel is an ally. One doe snot invade their allies. Given Israel's role as a buffer between us and Islamic terrorism it would be most foolish to try and undermine them. Oh wait part the run up to the Summit included a meeting between Netanyahu and Putin. Some sources indicate that this all related and agreements pertaining to Israel's security were reached. Petty politics risks undercutting all of this.
Saudi Arabia? Admittedly this one can be a problem. Unfortunately any replacement for the Saudi government would be worse than the current one. As a major oil exporter, we have to work with them. Some call such things statesmanship.
Russia? This is a large and powerful country who posses a very large nuclear arsenal, has a military presence in a number of areas we are involved in, and by some accounts their leader is the most powerful person in the world. It'd be unwise beyond the extreme to go to war with them. At least there needs to be a VERY GOOD REASON. POTUS understands this and is acting accordingly to try and forge good relations with such people.
A bit off topic but I recall when your country's PM ran to a microphone and accused POTUS of pushing him around as he was leaving to go to the negotiations with NK. This looked like a deliberate attempt to undercut negotiations between NK and the US. By trying to make POTUS look weak he sought to undercut the negotiations. Later rather than quickly apologize the Canadian government doubled down on this. Such things, while not war, could be considered a hostile act. Such hostile acts have consequences and will not be quickly forgotten.
The next new bit of bad craziness will be the progressive push that Trump's been a "Russian agent" since 1987.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/07/trump-putin-russia-collusion.html
On June 14, 2016, the Washington Post reported that Russian hackers had broken into the Democratic National Committee’s files and gained access to its research on Donald Trump. A political world already numbed by Trump’s astonishing rise barely took notice. News reports quoted experts who suggested the Russians merely wanted more information about Trump to inform their foreign-policy dealings. By that point, Russia was already broadcasting its strong preference for Trump through the media. Yet when news of the hacking broke, nobody raised the faintest suspicions that Russia wished to alter the outcome of the election, let alone that Trump or anybody connected with him might have been in cahoots with a foreign power. It was a third-rate cyberburglary. Nothing to see here.
Bob, thanks for providing such an obvious example of the cancerous nonsense I mentioned. How you could be a regular reader on this blog, and still say such nonsense is beyond me. I'm not sure how, or when the left brainwashed so many people. Its absolutely astounding.
ReplyDeleteWell Scott "there are none so blind as those who will not see". You, Smith and B. Poster should get along famously.
ReplyDeleteB. Poster:
ReplyDeleteI was talking about Trump not you. He is nutso and likely to start a war with anyone just to prove he can and/or cover up some minor shenanigans he has been caught doing. If you aren't aware of his personal attributes you haven't been paying attention. I not the only one aghast at this actions, even members of the GOP are too.
