To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. Daily Mail: 'YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE SUFFERED': Trump sends astonishing all caps Twitter warning to Iranian President Rouhani over threats to the US - but regime dismisses his 'passive reaction'
* Trump tweeted dire all-caps warning to Iranian President Rouhani late Sunday
* 'NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN' Trump tweeted
* Rouhani had earlier told the US that 'war with Iran is the mother of all wars'
* Iran called Trump's threat as a 'passive reaction' and said he 'won't dare' attack
President Donald Trump has issued a dire warning to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, escalating a war of words over looming sanctions against Tehran.
Rouhani had warned Trump not to 'play with the lion's tail' before Trump let rip on Twitter late on Sunday night, saying: 'To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE.'
'WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!'
But that only prompted Iran to further goad Trump, calling his reaction 'passive' and saying he 'won't dare' launch an attack.

ReplyDeleteThis is all so stupid. Way to go rubes.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing to go on this religious fraud will be that neurotically pruned white whisk broom growing from his mug. Next to go will be the mirror he admiringly gazes into every morning to reassure his self of his perfection. These changes should give him an hour extra each day to do something meaningful about the problems he has created in Iran.
The Iranian mullahs need to be held responsible for their caustic rhetoric.
ReplyDeleteTrump will focus to this for everyone.
yea lets get another spinless muslim in office like obama because he handled everything by bending over
ReplyDeleteStupid smith intern
ReplyDeleteGrow up
Look and learn Obama, this is how you deal with threats not cash.
ReplyDeleteGlobal Syrategy guys; Need to push back against this threat as we are dealing with NK and China. Iran will implode, they are checked, larger picture is how you handle threats.
ReplyDeleteDestroy a country and kill its innocent citizens including children and babies because the leaders foolishly over threatens something they can not deliver?
ReplyDeleteRemember Iraq II and the murdering and destroying over nothing.
So not classy or responsible America.
Destroy a country?,again with the nuclear Armageddon nonsense.

ReplyDeleteBob, is your hate for Trump based off your imagination just as your comment was? Or do you have some secret intel the rest of the world does not know? Or are you saying Iran threatening America with nuclear armageddon should be tolerated? I'd like to remind you that the last Trump threatened a country, you cried. I'd also like to remind you that when Trump went to make peace with that country, you cried. You getting what I'm getting at here, or did you just imagine me not asking any of those questions?
ReplyDeleteYes Scott I see what you are getting at. You are trying to show how you are unable to comprehend a simple thought and how disillusioned you are and congratulations you have succeeded.
ReplyDeleteObviously, you didn't get the point. Oh Well, move on Scott nothing here.
Deletethe American people will remember the Iranians under Khomani taking the US embassy workers hostage in the 1980's. The Iranians treated the American's badly and insulted the US daily. American's are tired of wars, and recognize the mistake of Iraq War II, but still, war with Iran is one war many Americans would cheer and most would accept.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your summation Roger. They will support such a war, fools that they are. Will they send their sons and daughters to die for no reason but to give a deadly response to flamboyant threats that cannot be fulfilled?
ReplyDeleteWill they rejoice when countries that have been destroyed by the US for no reason whatsoever, think Iraq again, rally and retaliate against the US or will they piss and moan at being so hard done?
By the way, Iraq wasn't the only one there are lots and remember Iran and the 1950s.
I'm not convinced that the Iranian threat is an over threat that they can't deliver on that it is flamboyant. I think Iran can deliver on the threat. As for the response of POTUS, it may well be an over threat that we may not be able to deliver on.
ReplyDeleteThe US threat would only work effectively if the military assets could be positioned properly and we could convince Russia and China to stand down. These are all big ifs.
Due to our lax immigration policies, poor security, and substandard intelligence services the necessary Iranian resources to make good on their threat are likely already here. As such, the Iranian threat is deemed 100% credible or at least at it should be. Furthermore after eight attempts to contact the Iranians to try and edtsblish a dialogue have been rebuffed it seems realistic to assume that the Iranian leadership has no interest in negotiations or peaceful co-existence with America.
In contrast, the words spoken by POTUS are as a response to an Iranian threat of genocide against Americans that they are fully capable of carrying out. Also, the threat by POTUS can only have significant effect IF we assume America's nuclear arsenal actually works AND we can convince the Russians not to come to Iran's aid.
POTUS did say that upon taking office the first thing he did was to upgrade the nuclear arsenal and we recently had a "Summit" with the Russian leader. Events surrounding this meeting suggest deals may have been made to help us deal with Iran. As such, POTUS may have felt confident with this response to the Iranian threat of genocide against the American people. To assume POTUS can actually deliver on this, requires a certain degree of trust in the man and the military he is Commander in Chief of. At this time, I would be inclined to trust him and the military leaders. As such, to explain to the Iranian bully that an attack will have severe consequences for them seems to be warranted.
POTUS's response is likely with all such factors in mind. As stated, the Iranians are 100% capable of making good on the threat they made.
While some American military actions appear to have been misguided, recent examples being Lybia and Ukraine, to suggest they all had no reasons is to suggest Americans and their leaders are pure evil and 100% at fault for everything. I think such messaging is the product of America's enemies who are laying the groundwork for an attempted genocide against the American people.
Similar messaging was used against the Jews in the 1930s. I pray things go much better for us than it went for the Jews.

ReplyDelete" Furthermore after eight attempts to contact the Iranians to try and edtsblish a dialogue have been rebuffed it seems realistic to assume that the Iranian leadership has no interest in negotiations or peaceful co-existence with America."
Do you not think that maybe the "no more interest in negotiations or peaceful co-existence with America" might have something to do with the events of the 1950s experience the Iranians had with America or the American support of Iraq in the war between with Iran?
Just how excited would you be to co-exist with somebody who forcefully took over the management or your family and participated in the killing of your children?
If you are serious in your comment " I think Iran can deliver on the threat" then you have to believe they already have the nuclear capability to strike the US. If so that would put them on the same footing as North Korea only with more justification to want to do it. If so physically attacking Iran would border on suicidal. Don't you think?
Bob,
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your first question, every American school child is aware of the Iranian narrative regarding the 1950s. Many accept it as gospel, while others treat the narratives of an enemy who is trying to destroy us with a degree of skepticism. The Iranians can easily resolve all issues by taking this to a UN tribunal. I've explained elsewhere why the won't do this. Essentially they have been getting to much mileage out of a state of war with the United States.
As to the support of the of Iraq as well as the 1950s, we have to evaluate context. Essentially "America's enemies good," "America bad" are overly simplistic arguments and do nothing to help resolve grievances. Again, Iran can easily take this to a UN tribunal or set up their own international forum of their choice to resolve this. They won't. This would mean ending the conflict.
Second question: this can be turned around. How can America peacefully co exist with a country that is attempting genocide against them and shows no signs of letting up. Furthermore the international community will not hold them to account and they have historically had as backers some of the world's most powerful countries. As to taking over their management, the US isn't that influential. While it can work with others, it cannot dictate such terms to a country like Iran. As the need to hate America is inexhaustible, we do have imagine its power is greater than it actually it is. Iran isn't going to work for a resolution at this time. A just UN tribunal might find the Iranians have some degree of liability to foreigners for their actions in the 1950s.
Question three: of course Iran can deliver. While I think it highly likely that Iran has nuclear weapons or other "dirty bombs" of some type, they may not. In any event, it may not even be necessary. Their operatives who are likely already here for reasons mentioned above can do extensive damage to America very likely killing millions of our people.
The only way Iran gets attacked will be either as the result of an attack on America or in response to an imminent threat that can be established. In the latter case, attacking first might be the only viable option rather than waiting for the crushing blow from Iran to come and then hoping we will still be able to respond after the crushing blow.
POTUS appears to have placed the Iranians on notice that neither will be tolerated. Now should the Iranians act rationally and drop their attempts at genocide, we could actually make progress in resolving this. There do appear to have been movements in and around the "summit" on the part of the US, Russia, and Israel to restrain Iran. As such, POTUS may have felt confident in making such a statement of warning to Iran that such abuse by them will not be tolerated. Furthermore Iran seems to be having some trouble circumventing sanctions that would have been easy for them in the past.
From reading your posts, it appears that American lives hold little to no value to you. When it is your family and loved ones who are being threatened with genocide, the party making the threat has historically had very powerful backers, they show no sense of reason or remorse for anything, and there is no one you can turn to (law enforcement, international bodies, etc) that you can turn to ensure you receive fair treatment, perhaps you would feel a bit differently.
Then again you seem to hate us with a passion. I do hope this is not how Canadians as a whole feel. If so, kindly withdraw from NATO and sever all contacts with us.

ReplyDeleteYou are making excuses for the school yard bully that has sought to disrupt and has disrupted the world since shorty after it's, America's, creation. It is not and likely never has been a valid victim justified in bringing war to some other country. The only reason it succeeds is because of its massive dedication to its armed forces and of course borrowing power. The US is like the father of a family addicted to booze, women, drugs or gambling and who uses every last resource to satisfy his addictions, only with the US it is war and maintaining the war machine and to hell with healthcare for its people, education and a working/safe infrastructure.
It is possible to be critical of something and not to hate it but America does push the limits. I do not hate Americans but I do hate what they do to other nations unable to defend themselves. The only question as regards the USA is who will be its next target? Simply put America is not the democratic, freedom loving country it pretends to be, never was and likely never will be. Be a man and accept responsibility or at minimum, acknowledge the disaster America had become in the world and for the international disaster America has become.
Bob,
ReplyDeleteYou've mastered the messaging of America's enemies. Similar messaging and distortions were used against the HmNews in the 1930s to justify genocide. Let's hope America's enemies have less, success than Nazi Germany did against the Jews.
The US is not powerful enough to disrupt the "entire world " With the exception of perhaps a VERY, VERY brief post WW2 period it has, never had that kind of power. In order to maintain an ideological position tvst,is untenable, grandiose fantasized about American power have to be invented and maintained at any costs. This is also needed so excuses can be made to continue to support the Iranian genocidal bully.
ReplyDeleteFortunately I think much of the world is catching on to the Iranian genocidal bully. I've noticed Iran has had some trouble circumventing sanctions. Normally this would be easy. Next we've had high level meetings between US, Israeli, and Russian officials. It seems how handle the Iranian problem. Finally, the response to POTUS when he called out the Iranians while audible was muted. Normally it would have been defeating. The world may be finally tiring of Iran.
The US has not sought to disrupt the world. Early in its history it struggled to merely survive while having powerful forces arrayed against it. After this the nation and it's people have desperately tried to just fit in and be respected. Such people and nations wouldn't have time to even consider disrupting the world much less actually do it. America is more like the awkward geek who lacks confidence that many can't resist taking pot shots at.
Iran speaks of blocking the strait of Hormuz. This is trying to disrupt the world. Iran may have overreacted here
