ABC News Online: Scott Morrison wins leadership spill; Malcolm Turnbull takes parting shot at Abbott and Dutton in final speech
Scott Morrison has been sworn in as Australia's next Prime Minister.
Mr Morrison won a leadership contest against Peter Dutton 45-40 on Friday.
The leadership ballot was called after former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull agreed to the second leadership spill this week.
Governor-General Peter Cosgrove conducted the ceremony at Government House to officially make Mr Morrison the nation's 30th Prime Minister.
Mr Morrison has described himself as the new generation of Liberal leadership who is "on your side".

To me the PM system is way to chaotic, you never have your leaders there for long in some countries like Australia or Italy. I like the way the USA President system does it, you know who you are voting for and how long they will be office, IMO.

DeleteMalcolm Turnbull has certainly been no exception. In fact he has been the most deceptive of all. It is good he has been ousted. However I doubt this will be the end of their crap. The Australian public is really getting tired of it all.
