TASS: Vostok-2018 exercise to be unprecedented in scale — Russian defense minister

It is going to be the largest one since Zapad-81, Sergei Shoigu said

MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. The forthcoming international military exercise Vostok-2018 will be unprecedented in scale, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Monday.

In accordance with the training plan the exercise is due in September.

"It is going to be the largest one since Zapad-81. It will be unprecedented in terms of geographic scope and the strength of command and control centers and forces due to participate," Shoigu said.
