Foreign Policy: Botched CIA Communications System Helped Blow Cover of Chinese Agents
The number of informants executed in the debacle is higher than initially thought.
It was considered one of the CIA’s worst failures in decades: Over a two-year period starting in late 2010, Chinese authorities systematically dismantled the agency’s network of agents across the country, executing dozens of suspected U.S. spies. But since then, a question has loomed over the entire debacle.
How were the Chinese able to roll up the network?
Now, nearly eight years later, it appears that the agency botched the communication system it used to interact with its sources, according to five current and former intelligence officials. The CIA had imported the system from its Middle East operations, where the online environment was considerably less hazardous, and apparently underestimated China’s ability to penetrate it.

The West should do the same. Chinese spies are costimg us trillions and severely damage our military superiority which in turn can cause a war between china and the US killing millions easily and in turn damaging world economy enormously -which in turn will drive millions and millions more into severe poverty and lots of life and shorter life expectancy etc. ..This is serious business. Sorry to all the Chinese spies in silicon valley to Nyc to Langley and Washington. You know who you are and you should all be treated the same way China treats our people.

ReplyDeleteNo why? Brennan is against Trump and he shouts loudly that Trump is a traitor. That makes Brennan a righteous person. He can do no wrong nor has he ever done wrong. Brennan is a saint as long as he keeps the Trump outrage going and helps dividing the country.no one suspects Brennan of any other motives. No matter how much Russia profits from a divided USA.
