U.S. Defense Secretary: Further Taliban Assaults Likely In Weeks Ahead
Like I said in a previous response to the Taliban blowing up yet more buildings and ruining more lives this time in Ghazini[sp]; "Re-run...Tet 1968. And that orgy of mindless destruction also was followed up in 1969 in a feeble and casualty saturated attempt to garner more headlines in the press. The B-52's had a field day on the ho chi mihn trail that year. I have the interview of a greatly disillusioned NVN colonel who lead the bumbling attempt on Bien Hoa, my base in 1969. It consists of his comments in his handwriting and photo in the form of a leaflet dropped on the shattered remnants of his now greatly reduced and trapped unit. He had been captured. Talk about being hoodwinked. Bring your can openers those young believers were told when they started down "uncle" ho's trail.
