Reuters: Russia's Putin urges end to Washington political infighting

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that the United States should bring a halt to internal political infighting which he said was poisoning U.S. relations with Russia.

Putin has previously said allegations of Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election have been fabricated by domestic opponents of U.S. President Donald Trump as a way to undermine Trump’s presidency.

WNU Editor: Putin is right that Washington's political infighting has poisoned U.S. relations with Russia (a point that I am sure President Trump told him when they met in private in Helsinki). But I do not think Putin understands the tremendous animosity that is bordering on hatred that many Democrats and some Republicans have towards President Trump, nor how determined they are to de-legitimize his Presidency so that they can remove him from office. The problem is that it is not working, and with each legislative victory or court appointment that is made by the White House, that animosity is only building.

  1. If you have networks like cnn and msnbc that constantly - for two years - 24 hours every day - poison the minds of their viewers - you shouldn't be surprised by the outcome. Ten years or even five years ago I made fun of Fox viewers. Now I cannot even watch 5min of cnn/msnbc without throwing up in my mouth a little. They are that extreme.

In my opinion, everyone at the networks knows what's going on and the people who talk in front of the camera know that the more outrageous theater they produce and act in, the more money that make. The former Intel people who become taking heads and in a sinister voice tell us "Trump must hate America" or "Trump undermines democracy". No he doesn't. Trump ironically strengthened democracy by showing us the hypocicy on the left and the outright collision between much of the media and the democratic party. Pretty much everyone who isn't a political hack or a brain dead parrot gets it

  4. Fred, if you have to ask others to confirm that which is before your very eyes then YOU are part of the problem. Others HAVE confirmed and they have done so for years.

Check CNN's LARGE DECLINE in viewership. The people have spoken.
As I suggested a while back; get rid of your Ford's carbide headlights and go electric. These new 1917 Model T's have'm, my friend. Don't be a slave to the past. Get one and see again.

  5. Fred. The morons on this comment board are not salvageable.

A site that gets so many hits and yet has a paucity of commenters, the really good ones having left because of the Smith and anonymous idiots.

Just ignore them. The stuff you post and links are great and so is your site.
