Liberals knocked out of power by François Legault's party; Parti Québécois leader resigns
Coalition Avenir Québec, a right-of-centre party that has never held power, will form a majority government in Quebec, dealing a historic blow to the incumbent Liberals.

WNU editor: I live in Quebec, and no, I was not surprised by the result even though all the polls were saying otherwise. The next big election is the federal election next year. The Obama led #Resistance ain't doing to well. Merkel, May, Macron, Trudeau are all in electoral trouble. Macron survives only because he has a 6 year term of office, his popular support is barely registered in the polling. The others are zombies in a political sense, no life left, just sputtering along.
Wow and predictable. Can't wait for elections here in a Month!
Canadians typically vote governments out as opposed to in which tends to lead to problems. Minority government is most desirable and is how Canada got its healthcare.
