CNN: Top US naval commander in Middle East found dead

The top admiral overseeing US Naval forces in the Middle East, Vice Adm. Scott Stearney, was found dead in his residence in Bahrain on Saturday, the Navy said in a statement.

While his death is being investigated, officials say there is no evidence of foul play at this time.

"This is devastating news for the Stearney family, for the team at Fifth Fleet, and for the entire Navy," Adm. John Richardson, the chief of naval operations, told CNN Saturday. "Adm. Stearney was a decorated professional and a devoted father, a devoted husband and a good friend."

    What they are saying is that if it was not heart attack, then it was murder given the nature of the region.

Fat Leonard scandal with dozens of flag officers cashiered, crashing destroyers, massive financial mismanagement in the ship building programs, buying LCS that has miniscule offensive capabilities for a ship its size and cost and now a suicide of a combatant commander on foreign soil. Navy is a mess. Ray Mabus’s chickens have come to roost. Time for a purge and renewal.

    There has been no mention of suicide. So why allege it? Makes me wonder if you are a troll.
