Cuba's Castro Condemns The U.S. On 60th Anniversary Of The Revolution

BBC: Castro denounces US 'confrontation' as Cuba marks revolution

Former Cuban President Raul Castro has accused the US of returning to its policy of confrontation.

Mr Castro, who is still head of Cuba's ruling Communist Party, was speaking on the 60th anniversary of the revolution led by his brother, Fidel.

He urged Cubans to prepare for all scenarios to defend their independence and said the revolution "had not aged".

The Castro brothers, first Fidel and then Raul, ruled the country between 1959 and 2018.

Raul Castro handed over the Cuban presidency to Miguel Diaz-Canel early last year.

  1. Did Raul shout his hate from his hacienda?

From each according to his to means to each according to his needs.

Raul is very needy like a bad clingy girlfriend. He has a hacienda with square footage to put the poor campesino's small home to shame.

Fun fact: Who has more wealth, Al Gore, Bill Clinton or Raul Castro. Fidel had at least $900 million dollars.

  2. I bet Bill has more if you include Hitlary. Cuba would be a great country if they had some of the basic needs in life.

  3. Mr. Goldstein,

I think you are right. The facts don't show it, but we know the Clinton Global Initiative is a family piggy bank.

Fidel Castro net worth: $900 Million

Raúl Castro net worth: $100 Million

Bill Clinton net worth: $80 Million

Hillary Clinton net worth: $45 Million

Chelsea Clinton net worth: $15 Million

Al Gore net worth: $300 Million

Selling you TV network for oil money pays off! Huzzah!

  6. My points were to call BS on communist leaders and Democrat leaders. They are hypocrites.

If Trump is worth 2, 3 or 4 billion I do not care. He is not preaching a poverty gospel and then retiring at night to mansion like a Demoncrap.

I was talking about Leftist American politicians and Castro, because the Leftist Castro was denouncing the US and he has no room to talk. He is a money grubber who recently ran a country chock full of poor and political prisoners.

Maybe Berthold Brecht could write anew play based on Raul's life called "Father Courage".

  7. Not defending either communism nor Cuba under Castro. But linking Castro, communism with Democrats is despicable...after all, who was the president that gave Russia the heave-ho when they were to plant missiles in Cuba? JFK, a Democrat...you do yourself a disservice in easy use of cliche labels that indicate simplicity. Trump and family will I believe find many legal issues about the way they have done and presently do business...but that is another issue

  8. "But linking Castro, communism with Democrats is despicable."

Not JFK and Castro, but modern day Democrats and Castro it is apropos.

  9. "Trump and family will I believe find many legal issues "

Legislators spent big on lavish fundraisers — but gave no grants to students

    But Trump

    But Trump

    But Trump!
