* Carter made the comments alongside his vice president, Walter Mondale, at a Friday human-rights forum hosted in Leesburg, Virginia.
* "A full investigation would show that Trump didn't actually win the election in 2016," Carter said. "He lost the election and was put into office because of the Russians interfering on his behalf."
* When the moderator followed up and asked whether Carter believed Trump was an illegitimate president, Carter said, "Based on what I just said, which I can't retract, yes."
* Carter's comments came shortly after Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared to laugh off Russia's election interference when the two leaders met at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.

  3. He's not going to go against the party that he's been a part of for 80 years no matter how loony they've gotten. Better to just say the lines, nod along at fundraisers, and then die as a somewhat fond memory to Democrats. The alternative, insinuating that reality might take precedence over collective fantasy, comes with a slew of character assassinations and abandonment by the only group that wants anything to do with you.

  5. Actually, Jimmy Carter was hand picked by the Trilateral Commission, his Vice President, all 14 of his top cabinet officials and immediate aides were also from that elite group. That is out of a total of 81? handpicked from N. America and 180 total, the rest fromWestern Europe and Japan where their leaders were also selected to lead us into the ‘New World Order’. About 180 people setting the agenda at the government level for 360 million people at the time. One of the purposes of the Trilateral Commission was to lower the educational standards of the citizens in order to better mold the populace to the policies they preferred.
That was the 1976 election, the 1980 election was a complete control by the Trilateral Commission, for in that election, all three Presidential Tickets were held by Trilateral Commission members. John Anderson- first independent who supposedly had a chance in years in a Presidential Campaign-Trilateral Commission, President Jimmy Carter and VP Walter Mondale re-election campaign both Trilateral Commission, Ronald Reagan (more of a pliable right wing figurehead) and for Vice President George H. W. Bush Mr. Bush being from the Trilateral Commission on that ticket.
So in 1980 all three tickets were Trilateral Commission, consequently the American people really did not have a free and fair election that year. So that is something 1980 has in common with the election in 2016, though the Russians put their heavy finger on the Tally by reaching out and touching 126 million Americans on Facebook as one of the many effort they pursued.
    Back to President Carter.
Having said that about he and the Trilateral Commission, in the run of recent history, President Carter has been a great post President, speaking and, living a good example for all Americans. He is a truth teller, and likely regrets his historical association with the Trilateral Commission and the stated goals they represented. I am so glad Carter spoke out about Mr. Trump.
And NO freaking maga is not better, this crew we have now are much more sinister, immoral, criminal and corrupt, worse than any group, or Presidency prior to this in recent history, including Nixon.
That is not to say that I disagree with all of his policies, it is just who he is, what a low life.

  6. "In 2008, Barack Obama decided to liquidate his assets and convert them into Treasury bonds and index funds. Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush all placed their assets in a blind trust. Even Jimmy Carter insisted on turning his Georgia peanut farm over to a trustee."
