Three Chinese Warships Dock In Sydney, Australia Unannounced

ABC News Online: Chinese warships arrive in Sydney as Beijing warns of South China Sea resolve

Three Chinese warships have arrived in Sydney Harbour amid increasingly strident rhetoric from Beijing over its territorial claims in the South China Sea.

A People's Liberation Army-Navy frigate, an auxiliary replenishment ship and an amphibious vessel are docking at Garden Island for a four-day stopover.

The arrival, which was not publicly announced by the Australian Government, came just hours after Chinese Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe struck an uncompromising tone on Taiwan and the South China Sea during a speech in Singapore.

  1. So much value added Bob. So much time spent trolling with "..." minutes after each post. Unemployed? Lacking meaning in life? At least you're not rabidly belching yeast and panting all day like Fred does all the time I guess.

He is such a good boy.

  2. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison reassured locals regarding a “reciprocal visit” by the Chinese Navy after Australians wee stunned to see three Chinese warships appear in Sydney.

Some locals were baffled on Monday when they discovered three Chinese warships entering the harbor of Sydney, Australia’s largest city.

  5. Yea, no kidding we went from Chinese ships to kids yelling at each other. Take your BS elsewhere, I want to read smart posts.

On the Port call, this sounds more like intimidation making Australia make a quick decision to allow them in. No way they just showed up and docked, they have port authorities as well.

  6. Chinese ships docked with permission. that is how it works. This is what Trump saw when he landed in England

  7. Speaking in the Solomon Islands, the prime minister said the government had “known about that for some time”.

“This was an arrangement, a reciprocal visit because Australian naval vessels have visited China,” he said. “They were returning after a counter drug-trafficking operation in the Middle East.

“That is a further demonstration of the relationship that we have and this had been in train for some time. It may have been a surprise to others but it certainly wasn’t a surprise to the government.”

  8. if you want to read smart posts, then the trolls named Bob Huntley (who posts elipses) and Fred, the mind controlled libturd, should be banned, IMHO. Neither of them adds anything of value.

  10. I enjoy reading the comments, and they often add value to the discussion originating from the post. However, I target people like Fred for a wide spectrum of obvious reasons, and I dislike opening comments just to have people like him waste peoples time and trolling readers with a bunch of nonsense that he considers useful for any discussion; minus the very rare and occasional useful post he makes . I don't condone censoring any of it, especially Freds "material", because it gives good insight to anyone who doesn't understand an emotionally charged, fervently rabid and narcissistic leftist brain that floats around aimlessly and completely out of the realm of reality where the Orwellian concept of orange man bad only exists in his confirmation biased echo chamber. Every time in the past I've tried to have a discussion with him, he name calls and attacks and then proceeds to criticize others of that exact same behavior in the very next post from atop his high horse. I gave up debating with him when he said that the US was the last country in the world that banned slavery and now I just like to poke at him to watch the spectacle. So much forth and panting.

Christ, he is such a good boy.

    1. Agreed. You're quite blunt in

  12. This rhetoric will only sour people and they will leave the Blog. So, if you want your opinion to make a difference, you'll all have to communicate intelligently.

  13. As far as I can tell, Fred always speaks the truth and links to truthful articles. If you are constantly attacked by those whose primary purpose is to humiliate and disrespect you, why would you not put them in their place. Contrary to some readers opinion, people who disagree with you have, considered, consistent and logical thoughts.
Lay off Fred, punk. If you disagree with the facts he presents, than counter those facts with more enlightened information. Or wise up!

argue with my links. that is fair enough. But to ignore and call me names is not helpful for proper discourse
