Report: Mitt Romney Told House Speaker Pelosi There Is Republican Support For Impeachment In The U.S. Senate

Real Clear Politics: Bill Kristol: Mitt Romney Has Helped Reassure Pelosi There Is Republican Support For Impeachment in Senate

Bill Kristol excitedly reports the prospect that Sen. Mitt Romney's criticism of President Trump's call with the Ukrainian president may result in House and Senate Republicans supporting impeachment.

"I think this statement by DeLauro is very important," Kristol said of a key Pelosi ally calling for the impeachment of Trump. "That signals to me I think where Nancy Pelosi is going."

"I think Romney has helped reassure maybe Speaker Pelosi that there is the possibility of Republican support. Maybe in the House. Incidentally, maybe in the Senate. If you take Romney's statement seriously, he is not just saying maybe the House should impeach. He is sort of saying maybe as a Senate Republican he would vote to convict. And suddenly if you have a couple more Republicans even sound somewhat like that, the notion that this is a purely partisan maneuver, there will be no Republican in the Senate who will even take it seriously that goes away."

  1. Mitt Romney is delusional.

I'm not sure what's going on with him but he was this big shot guy (you know the type, Bain capital, buying up companies, firing everyone and ruining their and countless families lives in the process and then patting themselves on the back and calling it the American dream) and then 4-5 billion Trump walked in and all the attention went away from Mitt...and Mitt needs attention and boot licking so he can forget about what he stands for/what he did. .all his life.

I wouldn't want to be Mitt for any money in this world

  2. How many years of education? How much income? Job, if any?

"He is sort of saying maybe...." WTF is this? Another soggy, spineless creampuff again on some screen and every utterance will be repeated for who knows how many times.

Romney...an embarrassing nothing anymore. The clown kinda sorta maybe could be saying but I'm not sure....Kristol. Did he or did he not, noodle man? Can we hear, if you think we should, what you heard?

These people are paid for this!!!

    What am I missing????

  5. Bill Kristol is a knave and crushed #NeverTrumper. Ignore him.
There is no support in the Senate for political suicide. Read the transcript. Nothing illegal, unethical but instead some good convo about the reasons they both won elections, the hypocrisy of the EU and Chancellor Merkel and corruption in the Ukraine. As both Presidents know, corruption is a deep problem in Ukraine for the last 100 years. Biden's conduct fits right in. Perhaps more than Biden among Democratic leadership.

  7. 4 reasons conservatives should back impeaching Trump (Opinion) -
Amid impeachment inquiry, Trump again publicly contradicts a senior aide
After House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump, MSNBC's Heidi Przybyla joins Ari Melber on The Beat to share reporting about a phone call between the president and speaker today when Trump asked Pelosi if they could "work something out" about the whistleblower complaint.
Sources: Pelosi says Trump called her today trying to 'figure something out' about whistleblower complaint

  8. ROMNEY IS A PUD.

Romney acts just how the Democrats expect a RINO should act. His moral goes up as the beating continue!

    He apologizes for being Republican.

ASSHOLE Romney needs to be voted out of office. I am sending money to his conservative challenger next election.

Romney, the ankle grabber, is so bad, there needs to be a special recall election for the pud.

This is the guy — and I want everybody to remember this — this is the guy that Harry Reid said in 2012 that a friend told him Romney hadn’t paid his taxes in 10 years. The media said to Harry Reid, “Well, what who’s your friend? We need to ask somebody about this, where’s your proof?” And Harry Reid said, “You’re asking the wrong guy. You need to go ask Romney why he hasn’t paid his taxes in 10 years.”

So they did. And so it became an ongoing part of Romney’s presidential campaign that he is alleged to not have paid taxes in 10 years. Everybody knew it was bogus but they ran with it anyway. Romney’s cozying up to these people? Mitt Romney was also the target of dirty Democrat ads claiming that an employee of his wife died because Romney was so cold-hearted he didn’t extend health care to the guy’s wife. And so the guy’s wife died and Romney didn’t care. And Romney is cozying up to these guys?

And can we forget, they said Mitt Romney hates animals. Family vacation, put the dog on the top of the station wagon. Then when Romney was trying to prove that he was not involved in a War on Women, he produced a notebook that was filled with resumes of potential female employees. That was twisted and turned into Romney is some kind of a pervert! Look at all these women in this notebook that Romney been collecting, they said. And he’s out cozying up to them?

  10. general rule of thumb for Trumpians:
anyhone in GOP is great, nice, fine...till they turn on Trump and then, the little tribe attacks, disowns, and of course follows the leader like good little troopers

  11. "anyhone[sic] in GOP is great, nice, fine...till "

So a complete moron proposes the generalization above. When you have general rule to disprove it all you need is one or more concrete examples/

Republicans on the 'outs' not due to Trump

    1) Paul Ryan They expected him to oppose Obama's piss poor policies more. He could not fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

    2) Boehner Same as above

    3) Cantor (see his Georgia speech) voted out
