President Trump Calls Some Governors 'Weak'. Urges Them To 'Dominate' Protesters With Force

Washington Post: Trump calls governors ‘weak,’ urges them to use force against unruly protests

President Trump on Monday berated the nation’s governors on a conference call, describing them as “weak” in the face of growing racial unrest and urged them to try to “dominate” unruly protests, according to three people on the call who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private conversation.

Trump also called on the governors to take back the streets and use force to confront protesters and said if they did not, they would look like “fools,” alarming several governors on the call as they communicated privately, according to the officials.

“If you don’t dominate you’re wasting your time,” Trump said according to a person on the call.

  1. Hard to believe the governers and mayors of these states and cities that are getting looted and burned are so callous towards their business tax base. If some don't rebuild who are the "leaders" going to blame?

  2. Sergeant Major Walz of Minnesota is a real brave, stand up guy. When the money was good, he was there. When the deployment came, he was gone.

He is no better as governor.

  4. Those riots are without a head, so I think that little semi-fascist tyrant can manage to end the protests only by brute force. Even for the many who are not rioting.
With his bronze face and others conserworms going to blame governors, majors, Democrats (in very moderate stance with Biden), BLM and now the ANTIFA movement for those riots.
    All except themselves.
After their support for anti-lockdown protests, eh?

As Michail Bakunin once say, the fire of a revolt lies in a long period of suffering for most. Often it can start suddenly with a minor incident, but the real reasons are in the accumulation of injustice and inequality, privations and difficulties in the time for more than a single category of peoples.

Covid 19 has touched the exposed nerves of US society, already filled with millions of unemployed, millions of poor workers, peoples at margin, great jailed population, police control, racism and growing inequality, hunger (yes, hunger), loss of political representation of all this (and this last is Dem fault).

The Trump luck is that Biden is very weak, and it can manage to put an end the protests, for a period, but he don't want to resolve problems, only assure rich's class power, worsening things in the future.
Those riots can mark the rest of US century.

Even for Americans is the time to stop dreaming and face reality.

  5. Young Communist

I married a communist, a real communist. Someone, who grew up under a communist system their whole life and well into their adulthood. What I see in you is a troll or poser. If the latter, might I ask if you moved out of you mother's house yet 10 or 20 years after reading the age of majority?

You know you could move out. Communism is not illegal in the West. You may join a commune, but then you have to work and not bitch so much. There's the rub.

You could join the Twin Oaks Community in Virginia. But on second thought it is not a good idea, since they do not like freeloaders.
