What would you have said or opined, if those liberal jackasses had parked the cars so that there was no room between the car and the embankment wall? Instead of an opening there was a solid wall of car?
The guy would have braked hard and maybe still have hit the cars head on. The T-boned parked car would have hit the crowd and still taken on 2 to 8 of them. The guy and several protesters would have died. But somehow it is solely the driver's fault.
Anyone interested in how fast the guy was traveling? The state police want to know. You can calculate it from the frame rate and distant to and seize of known objects. The car speed will also give you probable stopping distance. By the time the driver round the curve and became aware the barricade he might not have had any ability to break so as to not hit a car.
Why look at braking distance?
If there had not been an out, the shoulder, the driver may have panicked slowing or stopping his decision making. He might not have braked at all or not as much as he could have. T-boning a car might have sent it into the crowd where it could have rolled several times.
