The streets of Melbourne went eerily quiet on Sunday night as the state plunged into stage four lockdown in an unprecedented move that is tipped to cost the country $9billion and wipe out hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Premier Daniel Andrews announced a state of disaster and tough new measures on Sunday as Victoria recorded another 671 new coronavirus cases and seven more deaths.

For the next six weeks, Melburnians are banned from leaving their homes between 8pm and 5am unless for work or care-related reasons.

But as residents of the Victorian capital prepared for the harshest lockdown ever seen in Australia, hundreds of Sydneysiders and tourists flocked to Bondi Beach with little regard for social distancing.

The alarming scenes came amid warnings the next three weeks were 'crucial' to ensuring New South Wales avoids a Victoria-style outbreak.

WNU Editor: To say that these measures are very drastic is an understatement. But as you can tell from the bottom graph, this is a real "second wave" that is hitting Australia right now. You have to also wonder if the Northern Hemisphere will be experiencing a similar "wave" in the coming months.

Australia's coronavirus outbreak is rapidly spiking out of control because of the horror second wave in Victoria

  2. What is not strange is that leaders see an opportunity to grab power and many are.

Number of cases rate is up. Well, so is testing.

If they test for oxygen or CO2 in the breath of people, the more people they would test the more cases they would find. Although they would not reach 100%.

If they tested people for E. coli, the more they would test, the more they would find.

Cases are up, but are death rates up?

Japan, Canada, and Sweden are not doing wall to wall testing. Maybe wall to wall testing is done for the same reason wall to wall inventory is done. Both are property. Did serfdom really go away?

Substitute us for serfs and congressmen for nobles and it looks eerily similar.

    So what happened?

Was this a false negative or did the doctors actually miss that actual cause of death and pegged it to COVID, because they can?

If it was not a COVID death and the doctors misdiagnosed, maybe they could have saved him, But COVID makes for a good cover up.
