The U.S. recorded 2,597 new coronavirus deaths on Tuesday - the highest single-day death toll since April 30, according to a DailyMail.com analysis of data from Johns Hopkins University
More than 180,00 new infections were reported on Tuesday, but multiple states told the Covid Tracking Project that they were reporting data from multiple days, which was delayed by the Thanksgiving holiday
* All of the U.S. is in danger due to COVID-19, said the White House coronavirus task force in one of its most dire reports sent secretly to US states this week
* A map in the report, obtained by NBC News, reveals that almost the entire U.S. is deep red, indicating more than 500 new infections were reported per capita in nearly every state
* North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and 16 other states top the list for most inundated states
* Tuesday's death toll was the highest recorded in the US since April 30 with 2,597 deaths
* Hospitalizations set yet another record for the fourth day in a row with 98,691 Americans in inpatient care
* Britain approved the Pfizer jab on Wednesday but the US is waiting for the FDA to meet to discuss the shot on December 10, drawing outrage from Americans
* Florida became the third state in the US to record more than one million coronavirus cases, following Texas and California
* The US recorded 180,083 new infections on Tuesday with single-day records set in at least four states
* Officials in multiple states say that the record cases, hospitalizations and deaths may reflect lags from the Thanksgiving holiday

The entire U.S. is on high alert over coronavirus, with the White House coronavirus task force issuing one of its strongest warnings yet, that 'the COVID risk to all Americans is at an historic high,' in its latest situation report to states.
'We are in a very dangerous place,' the task force said in the report, sent to states Tuesday, and obtained by NBC News.
The report is sent every week to U.S. states and regularly paints a much darker picture of the coronavirus crisis in the U.S. than is presented by the public faces of President Trump's task force.
It warned that the post-Thanksgiving surge of infections and hospitalizations threatens to 'compromise COVID patient care, as well as medical care overall.'
