Currently, the state sponsors of terrorism list includes just three countries
The government of Cuba could be added to the U.S. list of states that sponsor terrorism, if Secretary of State Mike Pompeo signs on to a State Department proposal as the Trump administration winds down.
A source familiar with the discussions confirms senior State Department officials are considering the designation, which, days ahead of the next administration, would move the U.S. even further from the Obama-era reconciliation with Havana.
A designation would trigger automatic sanctions against Cuba’s government and add it to a list including North Korea, Iran and Syria as the only nations the U.S. has designated as state sponsors of terrorism.

What is Cuba going to do in response? Provide more than medical, logistical, and intel support for the Iran-Hezbollah-Venezuela axis?
ReplyDeleteCuba supports Venezuela. Venezuela supports FARC. Venezuela lined their border with Columbia with tanks to support FARC and threaten Columbia? Doesn't work>? Erdogan line his border with Syria with tanks and the Syrians coughed up with Abdullah Öcalan.
Venezuelan support for FARC was confirmed not only be that military show of force, but by the Columbian cross border raid, where they captured FARC documents.
Venezuela also is supported by Hezbollah and supports them in turn.
Hezbollah is embedded in Mexican drug cartels along the US /Mexican border.
