The 10 Secretaries listed as the authors of the op-ed are (clockwise from top left) Mark Esper, Chuck Hagel, James Mattis, William Cohen, Donald Rumsfeld, William Perry, Dick Cheney, Robert Gates, Leon Panetta and Ashton Carter.
* All former US Defense Secretaries signed their name on the op-ed, which was published in The Washington Post on Monday
* The group consists of both Democrats and Republicans; Mark Esper and James Mattis, who both worked under Trump, notably put their names to the op-ed
* The piece comes amid calls from some of the President's supporters to bring in the military in a last-minute bid to block Joe Biden from taking the White House
* Trump has been disputing the results of the election citing widespread fraud; his legal team have not been able to produce any hard evidence
* In recent weeks, military leaders have been conducting high-level talks about what to do should Trump invoke martial law during his remaining days in office
All 10 living former Defense Secretaries have delivered an extraordinary warning to President Trump in an op-ed denouncing the possibility of the military becoming involved in the current election dispute.
The piece was published in The Washington Post on Monday, following calls from some Trump supporters to invoke martial law in a bid to block Joe Biden from becoming the next Commander-in-chief.
The 10 Defense Secretaries, who are both Republican and Democrat, did not mention Trump's name in the editorial, but clearly intended for the President to heed their message.

I have no idea why WNU posts about something, which seemingly does not exist.
ReplyDelete"Back in 2004, a secret Pentagon report that was leaked to the media claimed that
by 2020, major European cities would have succumbed to rising sea levels
and Britain would be experiencing a “Siberian” climate. The report also predicted that nuclear conflict, widespread droughts, and famine would erupt worldwide. The report argued that climate change was a bigger threat than terrorism because climate change would bring the entire world to the edge of anarchy."
"which seemingly does not exist" you actually said that.
DeleteSo, 10 former US Defense Secretaries signed their name on a WashPost OpEd targeting President Trump. 1st, Washington Post has proved to be less than a reputable publication due to their 2+ year hysterical attacks on Trump for "Russia Collusion".
ReplyDeleteConclusion: The 10 former US Defense Secretaries have proved themselves to be alligned with the leftist WashPo. This illustrates the sad state of affiars in the US government these days--filled with socialists, communists, and enemies of the US people.
I beleive President Trump should declatre martial law and move to shut down/arrest the majority of the leftist news media, begainning with the Washington Post.
But I think the President wont do this. But if he did, a large part of the US public would support him.
Glenn Beck's take on the situation: Trump will never concede. The election was stolen. But Trump will leave the Whitehouse.
ReplyDeleteMy take on Glenn's take is that Glenn is right. So is Trump.
The Democrats stole the presidency and several other elections. Why should they not steal? They stole 7 house districts in California in 2018.
They can steal. They can have the legacy media and the apparatchiks of the state behind them, but it does not mean we have to give our blessing or tell them what swell guys they are.
I think the Russians are playing the usual pigheaded hardball with their latest "we got a nuke announcement." But this time, it may be warranted. The Russians know what lying thieving bastards they are up against.

ReplyDeletecite cases that Trump won!
Despite Trump’s intense hunt for voter fraud, officials in key states have so far identified just a small number of possible cases
YOU LOSE! NO FRAUD...JUST FAKE THINKING ABOUT A FAKE PRESIDENT WHO IS A BIGLY LOSER
So, why worry cheater.
DeleteSCOTUS threw out the case in the PA ballot extension to NOV 6th. they said not enough ballots would be affected. How could they know ahead of time how big or small the win would be?
ReplyDeleteHow could SCOTUS know a priori that if that case were combined with another case oi 2 that it would not make a difference?
Tell me why when you can start voting 6 weeks to 2 months ahead of election day way there has to be a 3 days extension after election day? You can never give a good answer IRL or on the net.
It reminds me of Afghanistan in the 1980's. Michael G. Vickers said no one weapon system would defeat the Soviets, but in combination that they would. You could do the same thing with ballot cheating. You could come up with a steal of 60,000 ballots and do it 4 ways stealing 15,000 apiece and find an idiot judge saying none of those individual steals would overturn the election. It is a stupid standard.
I would after assume that 8:59 has to look up the meaning of the words "a priori". Otherwise there would have been a reply by now. The educational system has definitely failed 8:59!
