WNU Editor: The timing of this raid by the security forces is telling. On Friday opposition presidential candidate Yaya Dillo filed papers to run for president in April against Deby, who has ruled Chad for over 30 years and is running for a sixth term. And now we have this raid targeting his main opponent. Internet to the country has also been cut.

  1. This is France's backyard. France does not call the shots or at least very many of at all, but they have a large cultural influence. When students study under the lights of the Conakry, Guinea airport, they are hoping to go to study in France not the USA. France is the country that beat Quadaffi in Chad in 1986.

Maybe pulling back from Chad would be the right thing to do. We'd come back of course. Maybe a promise/threat would suffice no more military or economic aid until you resign. Of course pulling back would be more of a Trump thang than a Biden thang.

But we can still send troops to Chad, because the presidential candidate is still alive unlike Kashoggi. Just everyone, who was standing next to him are now horizontal and assuming room temperature and he himself is looking at the barrels of smoking guns.

Is Idriss Déby ogin to get the Mohammed bin Salman treatment?

If he doesn't then I think someone or some clique has a hard on for Saudi Arabia. It is or is not about what happened or did not happen as much as people in the Deep State have a certain world view, back certain countries and create a narrative to get their way.
