Tired of red lines and threats from China.

It is like being threatened by a bully in school, who throws air punches. So you can tell a teacher and they do nothing, because it is an air punch and by their logic and ethos both sides must have done something. But you know that the bully mixes in air punches with real punches, so if you nonchalantly ignore them to show you are not scared or something, you stand a good chance of injury. So you know since a teacher will not do something, you have to do something.

Is the above analogy good? Is there scalability form individuals to small or large groups? Can you scale up?
