Zero Hedge: CIA Chief Makes Unannounced Afghan Visit As Pentagon Scrambles To Move Out Equipment

Now more than a week after Biden's major Afghan troop exit by Sept. 11 announcement, US defense and intelligence officials appear to be scrambling.

The Pentagon said Friday it's initiated a major equipment withdrawal from the country; however, this has seen extra military assets and personnel move in to increase security for the exit process and logistics.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday confirmed the USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier would stay in Mideast regional waters "for a period of time" - and additionally multiple B-52 long-range bombers have been deployed to the region.

In the book "Charlie Wilson's War", the author described the number of people running the Contras in Nicaragua versus the number in the Afghan Effort. He gave names of key platers also.

I would like to know how many CIA, British, Italian, Australian and other agents were involved in the Russia Hoax versus the number employed by the CIA in Afghanistan. Surely the latter is larger, but I would like to see a comparison.

I would like to see a comparison of budgets. It is suspected that the Afghan budget would be orders of magnitudes bigger. But a comparison would be nice of the various efforts.

The one area I would think it would flip is how many hours a day did Brennan spend managing people, collating data and reporting to Obama on the Russia Hoax versus Afghanistan operations? It think the ratio would be much closer, if not flipped.

Brennan will never tell. Not unless he was thrown in Dante's Inferno. And then it might take aeons for him to fess up. Good communist, Brennan.

  3. I would like to see how much Americans spend on getting high on a yearly basis.

USA loves drugs. Someone has to supply such a lucrative market.

  6. Afghan colonel works to free farmers from Taliban taxation

How do you know ho much to tax. By watching how much they harvest. For those taxes, what services do the Taliblam provide? A weekly beheading of some unfortunate? Gang rape of orphaned boys?

Can Afghans choose different tax collectors or do they get shot by the Taliblam?

  7. This has South Vietnam 1975 written all over it, the west starts something it doesn't want to win and then leaves the country to their fates.
