Tonight's Movie Is 'Path To War' - 2002 LBJ & Robert McNamara Vietnam War TV-Movie

From YouTube: An excellent dramatization of the decision-making behind President Lyndon Johnson's escalation of the Vietnam War in the mid 1960s. As LBJ (Michael Gambon) agonizes over sending more troops to Southeast Asia, he is given contradictory advice from Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara (Alec Baldwin) and Secretary of State Dean Rusk (John Aylward). The president also attempts to build his Great Society at home, while balancing the war's increasing drain on the nation's resources. Released on May 18, 2002 on HBO and directed by John Frankenheimer ("Andersonville").

On the face of it it seems like a shitty movie.

When you look at the money men and material the US put into South Vietnam, should not the money, men and material sent by Russia and China sent to North Vietnam be looked at. Otherwise, it is one big circle jerk for propaganda purposes.

Seriously, little old ladies, who have no time in the military, know more than Hollywood, academia, politicians, and others.
