Moscow Times/AFP: Russia, China Extend Treaty, Hail Ties

The leaders of China and Russia on Monday announced the extension of a 20-year-old friendship treaty, hailing increasingly close ties and the "stabilizing role" of their relationship.

The Kremlin published a joint statement from Russia and China to mark two decades since the treaty was signed, as Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping held a televised meeting by video link.

The past several years have marked a period of intensified cooperation for Moscow and Beijing as the two global powers face common tensions with the United States.

The two countries have developed economic, military and energy ties while supporting each other on a number of issues, especially when faced with criticism from the West.

  3. Are there Jews in China. Maybe a few. Have not heard of them being persecuted. But if there are any, they probably are.

Every time I have been to China there were 2 or 3 plain clothes government minders in Buddhist temples.

Do you hear many Democrats or Republicans complain about the treatment of Christians in China? Conservative/Libertarian media has. If Democrats are upset, they must not be very vocal very often. Ditto Republicans. As a Republican why would you make it your first , 2nd or third most important issues? Charity starts at home, so voters may care about injustice, but there is little they can do about it when Democrats keep swamping their boat with inflation, joblessness, illegal immigration, crime and more.

Also Christians have had the shit kicked out of them in Iraq and Syria. However Obama and acolytes go out of their way to exclude them form refugee status. To use Holder's often cited and often misused disparate impact as proof of racism, the disparate admittance of Muslim refugees from Muslim countries over persecuted Christians is proof of the racism of Obama and the rest of the Democrats.

SDO America does very little for persecuted Christians and here you point the finger at Vladimir. How utterly hypocritical!

Russia cannot defeat China except with nukes or clever hybrid warfare. Putin has one possible ally unless the bulk of NATO defects and that is China. He might not like it, but it is the only choice.

Trying to ally with the US would end in Putin getting ass raped and the creatures of Washington lining their pockets as Russia got poorer.

A lost of the aid package to Ukraine was laundered back to the creatures of Washington. The Bidens were not the only ones.

If the US allied with Russian we better count our fingers after we shake hands, but the US is not much better.
