Do Canadian Politicians Or The Media Care That In Two Months 50 Churches Have Been Vandalized Or Burned To The Ground?

Candice Malcolm, Toronto Sun: Churches are burning in Canada -- do our politicians even care?

Canada hit a dubious mark this week; more than 50 churches have now been vandalized, desecrated or burned to the ground since the announcement in Kamloops, B.C. of unmarked graves found near a residential school.

Fifty communities have been robbed of a sacred space to pray and effectively stripped of a fundamental right we hold dear in Canada — so much so that it is the very first right enumerated in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

“Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law… Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (a) freedom of conscience and religion.”

The freedom to pray and the right to access your place of worship must apply to all Canadians. And yet, our government is failing to uphold these rights for too many.

So, where are the politicians? Where are the police? Why aren’t these churches being protected?

WNU Editor: If 50 mosques or synagogues were vandalized or burned to the ground, the political and media reaction in Canada would be far different.

  1. The media at least seems to think this is well deserved.

  2. The MSM would get excited over 50 synagogues, so they could convict their enemies in the court of public opinion. Secretly, they would be indifferent or gleeful.

  3. Oops my post was messed up. Aren't those the same churches that ran those native reeducation schools where they found all those unmarked mass child graves. I don't blame them in the least.🤷

  5. @Jeffsmith: another victim of media disinformation

one of the Churches that was burned was actually for an immigrant Coptic community, which means the arsonists are complete idiots radicalised by woke ideology

  6. As there are different denominations involved, most if not 90% or more of those churches were not involved.

But what the hay, if it feels good let your ignorance out.

  7. I believe that any arsonist in commission of the crime is a justifiable and legal shoot.

  9. Jeff Smith.
The Coptic Orthodox church in Vancouver was firebombed and destroyed. A Vietnamese Catholic church was firebombed in Calgary. A lot of these churches have no link to Canada's residential school system.

Your comment is disorganized, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're just confused. But to set the record straight, there was no arson on Jan 6. The arson near the Capital took place on June 5th, 2020 on the Saint John's Church during a blm/antifa riot.

  12. If the flu ripped through a school, it might preclude grave markers. Also finance might precludes stone markers. Maybe you should price stone markers versus wage and school finances.
