* The US just missed the top 5, in part because it's close to 'external' megacities
* Such cities are vulnerable to displacement and could cause a migrant crisis
* It ranked high on its amount of fertile land and manufacturing capabilities
* New Zealand took the top spot, thanks to its temperate climate and isolation
* Other countries in the top 5 include Iceland, Australia, Ireland and the UK
In a worst-case scenario fueled by climate change - a total global collapse - the U.S. isn't among the Top 5 countries well-positioned to survive, according to a new study.
That's because its giant land borders make it vulnerable to migration from people who would be trying to escape climate disasters in their own countries: Think streams of people pouring over the southern border from Mexico or the northern border from Canada, for instance.
Still, the U.S. would have fallen somewhere just out of the Top 5, the researchers at Anglia Ruskin University in the U.K. told DailyMail.com.

WNU Editor: I would stay in northern Quebec, or in the Urals of Russia.
If NZ gets more of people like Jacinda Ardern, NZ will not be a good bet.
ReplyDeletethey will be just fine if they keep misfits like you out
ReplyDeletepoor thang! u feel all abused. no political party or persuasion was mentioned, but it was known you would jump. my problem is Jancida is she is a jackwagon. specifically her lockdowns. u know jack shit about COVID, but you have the opinion of a halfwit about it and everything else.
ReplyDeleteThe island of Kauai would be a good spot.
ReplyDeleteI’ll reserve a place for you at my holiday home. Great fishing, natural bore, hot water springs, hunting and a great beach. Might need to warn the missus though…
ReplyDeleteI live in the UK
ReplyDeleteThere will be food shortages during the next lockdown, UK imports almost 60%food
Not a place to survive end of civilisation lol
And we have oligarchs and monarchs ruling us. There's no democracy here, just a charade. Covid showed who they really care about and hint: it's not you
Imagine thinking that monarchs ruled Britain. They showed rather more concern for their subjects when they did (see enclosure policy for instance). That said, I too find UK's placement on the list incredible. It calls the rest into doubt.
ReplyDeleteAgreed @UK
ReplyDeleteTotal dependency on food imports
Media lies throug their teeth about the situation here
I live in London. There was a massive protest here easily 100,000+, one of the largest protests in recent years
Their message: arrest boris Johnson, the vaccines don't work, and then varying messages from tyranny spreading to people being forced(!) Into financial oblivion and dependency on a state that suddenly turned full on totalitarian
On BBC: ZERO REPORTING
We are being misled
It's global in nature
From what I've seen here and other places...
It feels like a global corporate takeover aided and abetted by illegitimate governments..i know it sounds crazy but they're building detention centres for political dissidents.
It's happening.
Communist Marxist takeover and you better fight or be ruled by a cultists oligarchy class that conducts human sacrifices at the top
We always sort of thought we are ruled by corrupt criminals, but this...
We will have to hang a lot of them for what they tried to impose on all of us. And they'll not go quietly. For them it's giving up their illegitimate rule and access to billions and billions in wealth.
They'll try to kill us all
Daniel what do you mean? Did the Royals help or hurt victims of enclosure? Many landlords threw villages off the land that they ancestors had lived on for 5oo to 1,000 years merely because wool brought more profit than farm rents.
ReplyDeleteSome enclosures were such that people were thrown off the land onto ships headed for English colonies. This happened in the Hebrides.
I am going to have to assume you are being sarcastic.
