Politico: ‘I want to talk about happy things, man’: Biden chafes at press questions on Afghanistan
The president appeared eager on Friday to project optimism on the eve of the holiday weekend.
On the eve of the July Fourth weekend, President Joe Biden wanted to talk about brats, not Bagram.
The White House press corps had other ideas.
“I want to talk about happy things, man,” Biden told reporters at an event ostensibly organized to celebrate Friday's buoyant monthly jobs report.
“Look, it’s Fourth of July. I'm concerned that you're asking me questions that I will answer next week, but it's the holiday weekend. I'm going to celebrate it. There’s great things happening.”

ReplyDeleteThis is just a disaster. How other countries can see us? Our enemies are enjoying this President, and we have to fear about this window give them.
ReplyDeleteSo what trump lost
ReplyDeleteDid trump win in Afghanistan?
ReplyDeleteDid trump play nice at press talks?
Get over it
Trump lost
You makes big thing out of nothing
ReplyDeleteLook to major events and dismiss small carping which is sure sign of having lost an election choice
ReplyDeleteObviously anyone can be president. Anyone. And anything.
Did trump win in Afghanistan?
ReplyDeleteBarack gave up on the war and it is obvious to everyone that he had given up by December of 2014. See the graph of troop levels in the link below.
Stratfor sees Afghanistan war fatigue in America. Only our rulers remain eager.
Obama's plan failed, which is okay. What is not okay is that he did not re-adjust. If Obasma was in charge of artillery and a FO called in a fire support request, Obama would command the artillery to fire. the FO would report that the fire did not hot the target and request that they adjust fire. Obama would declare victory, not honor the new request and go out and have a beer.
So Trump came into office on JAN 20, 2017 and he is supposed to fix a war that has been dead for over 2 years?
Feed being a former retired something or other is not aware that the American Revolutionary war was part of a World War, yes a world war before WW1, in which the French and the Spanish help secure American Independence. It was fought in India, the Med, Europe, the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas and elsewhere.
Pakistan supported the Taliban much as the French supported the Americans during the American Revolution. There was no plan to defeat Pakistan.
How was America going to win without defeating Pakistan? Fred will not answer the straight forward question or he will give a inchoate answer, which is funny because he studied English.
"Did trump play nice at press talks?"
ReplyDeleteThe press was hostile. Any press not hostile and the old press wanted them kicked out. Jim Acosta was famously hostile. The press got what they gave, but with a little more manners in return.
Trump answered all their questions. They might not have like the answers, but their questions were answered. The press has been hostile to Republican presidents since 1968 or before.
Sam Donaldson was famous for harassing Ronald Reagan, when Reagan was boarding Marine one.
I know many Chinese and been to China many times.. they've never ever cheered as frantically as when trump was gone as ever before.. my gut feeling tells me they made Trump go and the Democrats were happy to use the Chinese virus to push for unconstitutional mail in ballots, with no oversight, by the millions(!) And using those voting machines..
ReplyDeleteTo me, and I'm not an American mind you, this was a step too far, and was a true coup, aligning themselves with a nation that wants you gone...I don't know, but I hope I'll see them walked into hard labour camps for what they've done to democracy
Bullshit comment
ReplyDeleteGreat ad hominem comment. Why is it bullshit and which post?
ReplyDeleteYou cannot back up a thing you say. You never do.
Fred, are you referring to the comment about the Chinese celebrating when the Democrats colluded with them to get him out of office? Can't prove it, but look at the things they say, how they paid of the Biden's. Look at the money transfers in the millions. Listen to the witness the media tried to ridicule. Ex navy. But whatever... you already know the truth, right?
ReplyDeleteOffer proof not bs
