The attacks have long been as puzzling as they are disturbing — strange, high-pitched sounds that victims have sometimes described as a loud ringing or scraping and, at other times, as electronic or even like the chirping of a particularly insistent cricket.
They can be ear-splittingly loud or barely audible, just as the symptoms have been in some cases minor and in others, devastating.
But there is rather more clarity over who is being targeted — U.S. government spies, diplomats and their families.
More than 130 of them across the world have succumbed to what has been dubbed 'Havana Syndrome', after the place where it began five years ago. About 100 CIA agents and their loved ones are reportedly among the victims.

One way to attempt to stop these attacks is a firm verbal and loud commitment that should any state be behind these attacks, then it would be considered an act of war.
ReplyDeleteBut the US administration is clearing lacking the willpower to do that, so what appears to be a nefarious activity by a state power will likely continue.
