The Hill: Russia says 24 diplomats asked by U.S. to leave by September
Russian ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov said the U.S. has asked 24 Russian diplomats to leave the country when their visas expire on Sept. 3 in an interview published on Sunday.
According to an interview with The National Interest magazine, Antonov said that of the 24 diplomats who have been asked to leave, almost none of them have replacements at this time due to "abruptly tightened visa issuing procedures."
Antonov told National Interest editor Jacob Heilbrunn that the state of relations between the U.S. and Russia "unfortunately" did not improve following the Geneva summit between President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin in June.

WNU comment looks spot on.
Then fred helpfully cluttered things up by repeating what WNU already posted, which was:

Which leaves me wondering how bad of case of TDS has or how low his reading comprehension is.
go fuck yourself, stalker: get a life, momma's baby.
ReplyDelete“Almost all of them will leave without replacements because Washington has abruptly tightened visa issuing procedures,” Antonov said.
ReplyDeleteIn Washington, State Department spokesman Ned Price confirmed that the diplomats are expected to leave the U.S. but rejected Antonov's characterization of the situation as “incorrect." He said the expirations were not related to the situation with local staff at U.S. diplomatic facilities in Russia.
“There's a three-year limit on visa validity for Russians, it’s nothing new. When visas expire, as you might expect, these individuals are expected to leave the country or apply for an extension. That is what is at play here,” he told reporters. Price did not say whether applications for extensions would be considered or summarily rejected.
NOW PUT UP SOME MORE OF YOUR ASSHOLISH SNARK THAT BADMOUTHS ME, STALKER. YOUR PARENTS WERE RIGHT: ABORTION WOULD HAVE BEEN SMART MOVE BACK THEN.
fred,
ReplyDeleteI criticized you for posting the same exact link as the blogger posted.
I surmised you performed such an action, because you have derangement syndrome or a low reading comprehension.
Remember, every WNU reader loves you, since you are so sweet and charming.
I know you are but what am I?
