Problem is many carriers are in the garage for tune ups.

Part of the problem is corrosion. It takes a lot of work to fight it. Plus a whole slew of other problems.

The ass end of the tip of the spear is huge. The admiral is asking for a lot. He should ask for a lot. He should be firm and respectful, but he needs to keep the heat on. Too many jackwagons in congress are wasting money, buying votes reading people in the best tradition of Tammany Hall and debasing the currency.

If there is largesse for the wastrels in Congress, then some of that should go for something that is real and that is useful.

  2. Carriers work for the same reason subs and road or rail mobile missiles work.

Which is safer as an airfield, Guam or a carrier?

That said, we should seriously question carriers.

The Chinese have. Have they made the right decision?
